Cage fighting always came first for him…
Ian’s life is full of sacrifice. His intense training schedule means brutal workouts, no drinking, and worst of all, no pussy. But it’s all worth it because he’s about to go pro. When a tempting young nurse starts working at his gym, he can’t escape the dirty desires clouding his mind, and it’s driving him crazy. He’d love a taste, but he needs his focus now more than ever.
She’s kept her heart on maximum-security lockdown…
Growing up in foster care, MacKenzie learned early on that love was something other people experienced, something she’d seen but never felt. When she meets sexy cage fighter, Ian, she expects nothing more than a one-night stand, but he walks away before they seal the deal. Now she’d like to forget the night they almost hooked up. But she’s just taken a job working at his gym, and despite her efforts to move on, his allure is overpowering. When Ian gets injured, they begin working together on his rehabilitation, and their one-on-one physical therapy sessions are so hot they sizzle, leaving them both desperate for more contact.

The battle for their love is about to become a fight to the finish.
Reckless Love can be read as a standalone novel, but is a follow up to the New York Times and USA Today bestseller Hard to Love.
My Review
I received a free copy of this book in exchange for a honest review.
Ian is a MMA fighter and MacKenzie is currently working as the onsite nurse at the gym where he works out. WHile out with friends one night, the two of them almost hook up, but Ian stops before anything happens. Neither of them can forget that night despite their best efforts to forget.
In an effort to move on, MacKenzie starts to date Chris, the owner of the gym. Things seem to be going okay until Ian gets hurt and MacKenzie helps him with his rehab. The two start to spend lots of time together and things start to develop from there.
I loved Ian. He's a MMA fighter who loves to fight, but he is also quite sensitive. He's a protector and very loyal to those he cares about, almost to a fault. His sister is going through some hard times and although he keeps saying that he will cut her off if she doesn't get it together, he continues to help her. Luckily when things get too rough, he has MacKenzie to lean on and she is more than willing to help as well.
MacKenzie is a very proud woman. She grew up in the foster care system and worked very hard to get to where she is today. She hates to let people down and wants people to think the best of her. She continues to want Ian, but she doesn't want to hurt Chris' feelings.
Here is the thing about this book. It's a slow burn. A very, very slow burn. It's clear that Ian and MacKenzie have chemistry from the first time they meet:
I'm not sure if there will be more books in this series, but if there is I will definitely be reading it. I do love Kendall Ryan's books.

Here is the thing about this book. It's a slow burn. A very, very slow burn. It's clear that Ian and MacKenzie have chemistry from the first time they meet:
The next song was slower, and we adjusted our hips and moved to the music. I brought my arms up around his neck, and he lifted me up so that our faces were inches apart. I wrapped my legs around his waist. Ian held me to him, looking into my eyes for a long moment.
When he leaned in and brushed his lips against mine, I was so glad he was already holding me up, because my body went completely limp. His lips were tender even as he took control of the kiss, first nipping playfully at my lips, but then opening my mouth with his and moving his tongue against mine.
His arms moved from my waist down to my hips, and then his hands cupped my ass as he pressed me to him. I gasped. His rock-hard cock pressed against my center. The only barriers between us were his jeans and my wet panties. I squeezed my legs around him and pressed against him harder, wondering if it was possible to break him in half with my legs. As an extreme fighter, I was pretty sure he’d survive, although if I didn’t have him soon, I thought I might die.
Ian’s eyes met mine as the club around us faded into the background. Nothing else existed but the raw need inside me. With his gaze firmly locked onto mine, he read every thought buzzing through my brain, and the dark, hungry look in his eyes told me we were on the same page. He’d been so easy to talk to, so open, and made me feel at ease. And now he was pressing close to me, letting me feel every hard inch of him. I wanted more.
I didn’t know how we got to his car, but damn, I had been so happy when I saw it that I’d flipping squealed. He had dug his keys out of his pocket and opened the back door, guiding me into the backseat…Unfortunately, before Ian and MacKenzie can truly be together they have a lot of obstacles to overcome. They somehow manage to stay friends and keep things on the non-sexual side of things. Don't ask me how they did it. All I know is that if I was MacKenzie, I would have said "Fuck everything" a long time ago, dumped Chris and jumped Ian at my first opportunity!
I'm not sure if there will be more books in this series, but if there is I will definitely be reading it. I do love Kendall Ryan's books.
