BLURB:
I make my living as a hustler, and I’m great at it.
I don’t have a single tell and use that to my advantage to manipulate any situation.
I’ve always known what a person is about to do before they’ve even decided.

That is, until I met Nell.
I can’t get a read on her, and what’s worse, she doesn’t want anything to do with me.
Which only makes me want her more.

Now I’m in for the hardest hustle of my life.
Somehow I have to convince Nell that she belongs with me.
Good thing I’m always up for a challenge.

My Review

I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I sure do love the start of a new series. New characters to love (or hate). New stories to get excited about. And if that new series is written (or in this case co-written) by one of your favorites, that makes it even better!

Penelope Prescott moved to Vegas with the dream of being a dancer. Unfortunately for her, that dream has yet to come true and she finds herself waitressing in the high roller room at the Hotel Paragon. It is Nell's first night in the high roller room and after a high roller gets handsy with her, she is summoned by the one and only Gavin Saint. Gavin is a professional poker player who also works security (who else better to find the cheaters than a professional player) at the hotel. He tells Nell that she is in need of some extra training and when she goes to him the next day the two of them have a great round of what I consider to be amazing foreplay. When Nell finds out that Gavin actually has no authority over her and the whole "extra training" thing is crap, she is not only humiliated, but her dislike of him immediately increases. Needless to say, Gavin makes a not so great impression on Nell.

But Gavin sees something in Nell and he makes it his mission to win her over. So he keeps showing up in the high roller room, the pool at the hotel, her apartment and even her dates. He makes it VERY HARD for Nell to ignore his advances and of course she eventually gives in to him.

Nell was good for Gavin. Up until now, he never really had to work to get a girl to date him. He pulls out all the stops and shows her that he really isn't the man everyone thinks he is. Unfortunately, when things get really serious, Gavin lets his past get in the way and puts their relationship in jeopardy.

I really hope that this turns into the series.
I loved the secondary characters in this book, especially Gavin's friends. I love banter and the banter between them was some quality stuff. Scott was hilarious and I loved that he was basically Gavin's conscience. He was a great foil to Gavin's manwhoring personality.
“Hello?”I say in a panic. “Is that you, Penelope?”
“If it is, then I have a pretty burly voice, don’t you think?”
Shit, it’s Scott. Thank FUCK it isn’t Graham. Holy crap he would never let me hear the end of it for the way I answered the phone.
“Oh hey, what’s up,” I say casually.
“I was calling to see if I left my wallet at your place last night but now I’m a bit more interested to hear about why you were wondering if it was Penelope calling you.”
“Where did you leave your wallet?” I ask, ignoring Scott’s attempt to get into my personal life.
“How about you tell me about how last night went after we left then I tell you where I think my wallet is?”
I lay across my bed after setting my mug on the table. “Is that supposed to be some kind of deal? You realize I couldn’t give zero fucks about your wallet, right?”
“There’s twenty dollars in it for you…”
I grip my forehead, massaging it slowly. “Is your love life really that pathetic that you’re willing to pay twenty bucks to hear about what happened last night?”
“The romantic comedies I’ve been watching just aren’t doing it for me anymore,” he jokes. “Come on man, just tell me what happened with Penelope. Is she okay at least?”
“Wouldn’t know,” I answer honestly. “She snuck out this morning before I could check.”
“Nooo.” If the man wasn’t two more bicep curls away from impersonating The Rock, I would think that he was a woman.
So how about a happy ending (No, not that kind!) for Scott? And what's up with Graham and Page. Why the hate between them? I NEED ANSWERS!  ;-)

Born in New York and raised in Southern California, Meghan has grown into a sassy, peanut butter eating, blonde haired swearing, animal hoarding lady. She is known to bust out and dance if "It's Raining Men" starts beating through the air and heaven forbid you get a margarita in her, protect your legs because they may be humped.

Once she started commuting for an hour and twenty minutes every day to work for three years, she began to have conversations play in her head, real life, deep male voices and dainty lady coos kind of conversations. Perturbed and confused, she decided to either see a therapist about the hot and steamy voices running through her head or start writing them down. She decided to go with the cheaper option and started writing... enter her first novel, Caught Looking.

Now you can find the spicy, most definitely on the border of lunacy, kind of crazy lady residing in Colorado with the love of her life and her five, furry four legged children, hiking a trail or hiding behind shelves at grocery stores, wondering what kind of lube the nervous stranger will bring home to his wife. Oh and she loves a good boob squeeze!
