BLOG TOUR & REVIEW: Wicked Lust (Wicked Horse #2) by Sawyer Bennett

Wicked Lust (The Wicked Horse Series Book #2)
Sawyer Bennett
Release Date: January 5, 2016

Cain Bonham is as big and bad as they come. After serving in the Marines, he’s returned home to Wyoming and now works as head of security at the exclusive sex club, The Wicked Horse. His job is to protect not only the patrons, but to zealously guard the secret existence of the club itself.

Sloane Preston is all about discovering secrets. As an undercover reporter, she’s determined to reveal the truth behind the facade of The Wicked Horse and expose it for all the world to see. She just didn’t count on her pathway into the club coming at the hands of one gorgeously scarred and bad ass bouncer who manages to easily possess her body and soul.

While Cain’s not looking for anyone to catch his eye, Sloane did it all the same, and he’s not bemoaning the fact that she’s as wickedly kinky as he is. As both get caught up in the sinful fantasies that only The Wicked Horse can create, secrets and loyalties will be tested and hearts will risk being broken.

**Warning: this book has sex in it. Lots of sex. Dirty sex. The Wicked Horse Series is a bit different than what Sawyer Bennett normally writes. While you’ll still enjoy fabulous characters, a suspenseful story, some witty banter and an epic romance, there’s just… a lot of sex. You’ve been warned.

My Review

I received an ARC of the book in exchange for an honest review.

If you thought the first book in this series was hot, then you in for a treat! We were given a quick glimpse into Cain's life at the end of Wicked Fall, so I thought I knew what to expect, but holy hotness!!

Sloane Preston is an undercover reporter. She has been sent to the Wicked Horse to make a connection between the secret sex club The Silo and Governor Hayes, Callie's father. It doesn't take her long to realize that Cain is going to be her way in. So she shows up to the Wicked Horse a few nights in a row and does her best to make sure that Cain notices her. And he does.

It doesn't take long before the two of them are going back to Cain's house where Sloane spends the night. And for a guy who is all about the "hit it and quit it" way of dating (if you can even call it that), Cain is surprised to find that he wants more of Sloane. He's not quite sure what to do with that feeling, but before they know it, they are in a quasi-relationship. I mean Sloane even meets his mother. As she gets closer to Cain and develops real feelings for him and befriends Callie, Sloane realizes that she cannot go through with her plan and finds herself at a crossroads.

Things really get interesting when Cain asks Sloane what her fantasy is. I won't get into details, but I will say that what happens next had me squirming in my seat and itching to take a cold shower! (Thankfully I was home and not in public!) This book is a bit light on action that actually takes place at The Silo, although we do get a few glimpses of the goings on, this but this scene as well as Cain and Sloane's sex life in general, provide more than enough hot and steamy action.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book. At times I found myself getting frustrated with Sloane and just wanted to her to tell the truth before everything blew up in her face, but I liked her. She really was between a rock and a hard place and did what she thought she needed to do. I thought Sloane and Cain made a great couple and I really wanted them to work.

I think a lot of readers will agree with me when I say that while I look forward to the rest of the books in this series, I CANNOT WAIT to read Bridger's. He is basically sex in human form and he intrigues me. I have a feeling there is a very good story there.
