Oh. My. God. Sawyer really knows how to drop a cliffhanger on us, doesn't she? Wow. This book picks up exactly where the previous book ended. It was a heartbreaking moment and I was eager to see how it was going to play out. Luckily the issue at hand is resolved pretty quickly and I was happy that was the case. Now that Beck knows what happened to Sela, he has to figure out what do. He loves her with all his heart and wants justice for her, but he needs to do it his way. He hires a private investigator (a secondary character that I loved!) and they come up with a plan. And it's a good plan. There is a chance that everything could go south and JT is never caught, but they are willing to take that chance.
This book isn't all about revenge on JT. There is an amazing section where Sela and Beck go away on vacation together and the trip is a way for them to have some normalcy. I just love these two. Don't get me wrong, their relationship is far from normal, but I have all my fingers and toes crossed that they are going to come out on the other side of this situation still together and more in love than ever.
The end of this book had me reeling! There is a revelation that pretty much knocked the wind out of me when I put the pieces of the puzzle together. I mean it's come crazy stuff. Once again, this book ends on a cliffhanger that will have you freaking and yelling "NO. FREAKING. WAY."
