BLOG TOUR & 5 STAR REVIEW: Tanner by Jeannine Colette and Lauren Runow

We're celebrating the release of Tanner: A Sexton Brothers Novel by Jeannine Colette and Lauren Runow! One-Click Tanner today and binge on the Sexton Brothers all weekend!

Title: Tanner: A Sexton Brothers Novel
Age Group: Adult
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: February 7, 2019

“A kiss was all I needed.”
“Looks like you got what you wished for.”
“Yes. About that…”

I was supposed to find a finely dressed businessman, have a one-night stand and forget about my failed relationship. Instead, I meet Tanner Sexton—a gorgeous man in street clothes, messy hair and the sexiest smile I’ve ever seen.

When my ex shows up at the bar, Tanner notices my panic and kisses me just so the prick can see. Then he takes off, leaving me breathless.

So, I do what any rational person would. I chase after him onto the subway, and embark on a wild night in New York City with a complete stranger.

No matter how much I fight it, this mysterious artist painted his soul onto my skin, and I haven’t been able to forget him. Our romance is one for the ages, but age isn’t the only thing standing in our way.

My Review

I received an advanced copy of this book with the promise of an honest review.

Tanner is torn between the life he wants to lead and the life everyone else has told him he will have. The youngest of the Sexton brothers, he’s the last one to go into the family business. He just needs to finish school and the job is his. But he’s not sure he wants it.

Thanks to her awful ex boyfriend, Harper is still nursing a broken heart. Harper’s friend manages to convince her to go out, but unfortunately the ex shows up as well. Just when things look as though they are about to head south, Harper finds herself in the arms of a sexy man (Yay Tanner!) and he’s kissing her like no one has ever kissed her. And then he’s gone. Before she can stop herself, Harper runs after Tanner and they set off on an adventure that will change both of their lives.

Gah! Harper and Tanner were such an amazing couple. From the moment they meet, they have this crazy connection that extends to more than just the physical aspect of things. Harper has no idea who Tanner really is and he likes it that way. He doesn't hide his identity from her, but he also doesn't offer up any information. Harper likes him for the man he is when they are together. She doesn't need anything more than that.

Two quick things before I wrap this up: 1. I loved Harper's love of Friends. I am ALWAYS referencing that show and I loved that she did too.  2. I could not wait for the moment that Tanner showed up at Bryce's door and announced...well, you know. It's in this book that we get to see how everything played out and it was great! I absolutely LOVED it! Plus it meant that we got to see Austin and Bryce again!

Since this is the last book of the series, we tie up that loose end that is also known as Missy. Ugh Missy. We've already been fed the notion that the boys' father and his very young wife's marriage may not be what it seems and we finally learn the truth. And what a truth it is.

Talk about saving the best for last! I loved Austin and Bryce but holy cow, Tanner was just the absolute best. I lost track how many times I found myself swooning over his words and actions. *sigh*  *heart eye emoji*

This is definitely one of those books that I wish I could read again for the first time. Go 1-click now!
