Tessa Bailey is originally from Carlsbad, California. The day after high school graduation, she packed her yearbook, ripped jeans and laptop, driving cross-country to New York City in under four days.

Her most valuable life experiences were learned thereafter while waitressing at K-Dees, a Manhattan pub owned by her uncle. Inside those four walls, she met her husband, best friend and discovered the magic of classic rock, managing to put herself through Kingsborough Community College and the English program at Pace University at the same time. Several stunted attempts to enter the workforce as a journalist followed, but romance writing continued to demand her attention.

She now lives in Long Island, New York with her husband of eleven years and seven-year-old daughter. Although she is severely sleep-deprived, she is incredibly happy to be living her dream of writing about people falling in love.

RELEASE BLITZ & REVIEW: Stealing Home (Callahan Family #2) by Carrie Aarons

Walker Callahan has loved from afar for as long as he can remember.

The golden boy of the Callahan baseball dynasty, he’s the only player to ever secure a top spot on a roster controlled by his own flesh and blood. The pressure, duty and plans laid out for him since birth loom large, causing things like love and a family to fall by the wayside.

Or maybe that’s because the woman he loves is already married with children.

When they met, she was already promised to someone else. For over six years, he resigned himself to being her friend. Until one night, when her marriage and the ugly secrets it keeps unravels for the world to see. She’s burned, scared and needs someone who will put her needs above everything else.

Can Walker risk his own future and show her how to trust again? Or will the feelings he’s kept hidden for years throw him out of the game before he can even attempt to play?

Hannah Giraldi never wants to fall in love again.

All it brings is pain, misery and her life falling to shambles. After a very public scandal, her abusive husband takes everything, leaving her to raise two daughters on nothing but charity from others, a hope, and a prayer.

New to the job market, single motherhood, and with two court cases on her plate, the last thing she needs are the butterflies that Walker ignites in her stomach every time he comes around. But with his soothing words, supportive shoulder to lean on, and undeniable gorgeousness, he’s pretty hard to ignore.

Just when it feels like she might be standing on her own two feet, the world comes crumbling down around her. And the man she’s finally allowed into her heart abandons her, once again leaving her to pick up the pieces.

Is there a way to heal all of the broken parts, or will Hannah go down swinging while attempting one more shot at a happily ever after?

My Review

I received an advanced copy of this book with the promise of an honest review.

TW: domestic abuse

From the moment he met Hannah, Walker knew that she was the one for him, but she was married to his teammate. He had resigned himself to the fact Hannah may never be his, but then her asshole of a husband showed his true colors, in public, and Hannah finds herself starting over. While she isn't struggling, she also isn't having an easy time. She's starting a new job (her first in many years) while trying to take care of her children and also going through a messy divorce.

I loved Walker! Once he realized that Hannah was available, he went after her, but he didn't push. Walker was one of the people who was there for Hannah on that terrible night (from the previous book) and he knew that they would have to take it slow. Hannah was a bit skittish (with good reason) at first, but she knew always knew she would be safe with Walker. Their relationship was one that was built on friendship, but there was also a lot of love there as well.

I enjoy a "knight in shining armor" story. It was made very clear in Warning Track that Walker had some very strong feelings for Hannah, but Walker didn't go over the top in trying to win Hannah's heart. I had been looking forward to reading their story and it definitely didn't disappoint.

RELEASE BLITZ: Rebel Roommate by Jeannine Colette & Lauren Runow

NOW AVAILABLE

𝐑𝐞𝐛𝐞𝐥 𝐑𝐨𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞 is LIVE! If you love brothers-best-friend romances this is definitely the one for you!

Once again Colette and Runow created a masterpiece. Their characters were incredibly relatable, the plot was engaging, and the writing was on point. I highly recommend Rebel Roommate. You don't want to miss this! ” - Goodreads Reviewer

Growing up, I had one rule: stay away from my brother’s best friend.

It was easy to follow. I spent my years avoiding the boys on the baseball team, studying hard, and saving every dime I could. When I was accepted to transfer into UC Berkeley, I need a place to live, and my brother had a free room off-campus.

Win-win, right? Except, that best friend I was determined to stay away from is now my new roommate.

My very naughty, very rebellious roommate, Wesley Knight.

The boy who was once the bane of my existence with his constant teasing is now a drop-dead gorgeous athlete. He’s the life of the party, but I can’t have fun. According to Wes, no guys are allowed to talk to me.

Well, two can play at this game. If I can’t date, then neither can he.

It starts off as innocent fun. Some half-naked yoga, or a little flirting; until an interrupted moment of self-gratification turns things dangerous … for my body and my heart.

Living with my brother and his best friend has me breaking all the rules. I just have to decide if the consequences are worth the reward.

RELEASE BLITZ & REVIEW: The Strike Out by Meghan Quinn

It started with one night out with the boys.

She was the hot diner waitress putting herself through school.
I was the rich, arrogant player everyone misjudges.

On paper we didn’t match.

Yet all it took was one day. One single day to change her mind.

She wasn’t planning to spend her day off with me.
She wasn’t supposed to fall for my charm.
But one day, one smile, turned into several nights of her calling out my name.

I’m not the guy she should end up with. I’m jealous, possessive. Not here for a long time - just a good time.

She’s changed me.

But, for some reason, I feel her slipping through my fingers and no matter what I do, I fear I’m going to strike out with the one and only girl I’ve ever fallen for.

My Review

I received an advanced copy of this book with the promise of an honest review.

So when I first started reading this book I was like "Whoa. I'm having deja vu. Have I read this book before?" So I read a little more and was like "Oh yeah I've definitely read this before." If you don't know, this book started as a short story in the Team Player 2 anthology. I remember being intrigued by this couple and to be honest I forgot about them, but when I realized who they were, I got really excited!

Meghan loves to give us a new book boyfriend with every book she writes and this is no exception. I loved Holt's persistence in pursuing Harmony and I loved how sassy Harmony was. She was wary of Holt because he was an athlete, but he quickly made a point of showing her she was wrong about him. From there their relationship progresses quickly, but when ya know, ya know. This book a wonderful continuation of the short story and well worth the wait!

This book is also great because we kind of "go back to the beginning" and get some page time with our favorite baseball boys! That is always a treat and a plus in my book.
