BLOG TOUR & REVIEW: STROKED LONG by Meghan Quinn

We're so excited about the release of STROKED LONG by Meghan Quinn!

STROKED LONG by Meghan Quinn
Scheduled to release: September 20, 2016
Sports Romance
Cover Designed by: Indie Solutions by Murphy Rae

From his dirty-blond hair and breathtaking smile, to the abs from heaven and the irresistible V in his waistline, everything about Bodi Olympic-gold-medalist Banks screams hot piece of @$$.

Yet there’s more.

Dark shadows lurk behind his soulful, serious eyes.

I’m enamored. He’s captured me.

How can running an art foundation with Bodi Banks turns into a slow-burning, epic romance, even though he tries to push me away at every chance? How can I stay away from a broken, routine-driven man whose soul cries to be forgiven for a crime only he believes he committed? Or is that a lie?

**STROKED LONG can be read as a stand alone.**

My Review

I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

When we met Bodi in Stroked I just knew that he had an interesting story and I thought I was ready for it, but OH. MY. GOD. Dammit Meghan! You ripped my heart out and kicked me in the stomach straight off in the prologue and then I proceeded to weep my way through the book. I don't want to give anything way by telling you what happens in the beginning of the book, but I will say this: Bodi has VERY good reason for being the man he is today.

Bodi and Ruby find themselves working together to raise money for an arts foundation. Ruby is outgoing and an extremely positive person. Bodi is the exact opposite and when he is around her he is very awkward and totally uncomfortable. Their first few meetings aren't great and it doesn't take Ruby long to pick up on the fact that Bodi is not like other men. And much to his dismay, it doesn't take long for Bodi to get used to having Ruby disrupt (in the best way possible) his life.

Ruby's blind acceptance of Bodi and all of his quirks was a beautiful thing. She had this knack of knowing exactly what he needed to hear or feel in those moments when things got away from him. She didn't ask questions. She didn't think he was weird. And she didn't back away when she learned the truth. She just accepted him. And that was exactly what he needed. Even the people in Bodi's life saw how good she was for him.

I can't even begin to tell you how many times I found myself getting weepy or just doing that "hand on my heart" gesture because Bodi was tearing himself down or unwilling to see what he had in front of him. Love. The unconditional kind. So much of it. From everyone around him. And especially from Ruby. But that really doesn't mean much when you don't love yourself and that was Bodi's fatal flaw. He held on to so much guilt and hate for himself from that one event in his past. His past allowed him to succeed professionally, but it did nothing but hold him back in his personal life. At times it was downright heartbreaking and I just wanted to reach into the book and cuddle the hell out of Bodi. (WHY CAN'T THAT BE A REAL THING???)

This book will definitely be going on my best of 2016 list. It isn't your normal hilarious Meghan Quinn book, but don't let that deter you from reading it. The signature humor is there and there are plenty of funny moments, but that is not what makes this book amazing. The love that Ruby and Bodi found with each other is what makes it amazing. As the book says a few times, they were "made for loving each other".

A few random notes. I usually like to share a passage or two of my favorite quotes, but I highlighted the crap out of this book and I could narrow it down. So much writing goodness in one book y'all.I liked that in this book we got a different perspective on things that happened on the first book, Stroked. (Hi Reese and Paisley! Boo Bellini! Hissss!) And in the third book I am assuming we will get yeat another perspective on events. I love when that happens. And Hollis. OMG! We get a little sneak peek and see how Hollis and Melony (aka Hot Sex) met. Their book is going to be great...I can already tell.

STROKED by Meghan Quinn
Released: July 19, 2016
Cover Designer: Murphy Rae

BLURB:
Reese King: Olympic medalist, underwear model, Greek god.

His body is chiseled from rock, sculpted by the weight room, and refined by water.

On a daily basis his skin is completely bare for everyone to see, tan and defined, only covered up by a minuscule piece of spandex. There is no denying his sex appeal.

I hate to admit it, but I’m head over heels infatuated with him.

There is one HUGE problem though. His achingly gorgeous abs, inked up arm, and cocky swagger belong to my boss, the high-profile, reality star bitch from hell and certified heinous human being, Bellini Chambers.

What I think is going to be an easy job assisting a glorified wench turns into a cluster f*ck of epic proportions.

Born in New York and raised in Southern California, Meghan has grown into a sassy, peanut butter eating, blonde haired swearing, animal hoarding lady. She is known to bust out and dance if "It's Raining Men" starts beating through the air and heaven forbid you get a margarita in her, protect your legs because they may be humped.

Once she started commuting for an hour and twenty minutes every day to work for three years, she began to have conversations play in her head, real life, deep male voices and dainty lady coos kind of conversations. Perturbed and confused, she decided to either see a therapist about the hot and steamy voices running through her head or start writing them down. She decided to go with the cheaper option and started writing... enter her first novel, Caught Looking.

Now you can find the spicy, most definitely on the border of lunacy, kind of crazy lady residing in Colorado with the love of her life and her five, furry four legged children, hiking a trail or hiding behind shelves at grocery stores, wondering what kind of lube the nervous stranger will bring home to his wife. Oh and she loves a good boob squeeze!
