Synopsis

Go ahead—underestimate me.

“My patience is an illusion, and I don’t have to prove that you’re mine—you should already know.”

The Ballerina
His once formidable and unpredictable storm shifts with the turn of our relationship. I’ve noticed that I can put a stop to the darkness that the storm brings, but I haven’t managed to avoid the strike. The severity of the storm has impacted my life vastly, and I won’t walk out of it unscathed. He’s followed me as I’ve chased my dreams, but can he catch me when I fall?

The Storm
She’s used to keeping the world at bay, and she has kept her world exclusively to herself, but I won’t allow it any longer. Up until now I’ve lived a life for myself, but my situation has since changed, and her desirable ember has burnt a rift through me. Regardless of what has been thrown at us, I will promise her the stars.

This novel contains mature themes, strong language, and sexual situations. It is intended for adult readers.

My Review

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

First things first. If you haven't read the previous book, It's a Date, do not read any further. You definitely need to read that book before reading this one. So go to Amazon (or your ebook vendor of choice), buy it, read it and then come back to read my review.

Well our Greek god, Noah Ryan, is back. He has settled in London with Heather and all is well. At least that is what I thought when the book started. You guys! These two just can't catch a damn break! I won't give any specifics, but it results in the two of them going back to New York and Noah making a VERY big step towards discovering his past. He finally meets his birth parents and that is such an important event. He is still holding on to his anger of what Mae did (can't blame him) and doing this, with Heather right at his side, is important. It also helps that Heather happens to know them (remember that little bomb they dropped on us in the last book?) so she is able to soothe any doubts he has about them.

This book is super emotional y'all. Noah and Heather go through A LOT, both good and bad. A lot of tears are shed, but through it all, their love stays intact and is stronger than ever. You know how everyone knows at least one couple that you can't help but roll your eyes at (or is it just me?) because they are just SO IN LOVE and want everyone to know it? Yeah, that's Noah and Heather. They are still PDA-ing it up, steaming up windows and dirtying the sheets as much as possible. But it's adorable and I love them. Heather & Noah = #relationshipgoals

I love the secondary characters in this series. At one point we get the whole gang: Dani, Brannon, Coen, Dillen and Lana (Coen's new lady) all together for a wonderful surprise getaway that Noah puts together to surprise Heather. It was great to see them all relaxing having a great time, but that unfortunately that ends when tragedy strikes. Like I said, these two just can't catch a break!

The end of this book...GOOD. LORD. Let's just say that I was happy that I was home and not in public when I read it because I ugly cried like it was my freaking job. So make sure you got the tissues handy, you're gonna need them.

And while we are given answers to the questions we were left with after the first book (i.e. How does Heather know Noah's birth parents?) They give us even more to ponder by the time this book finishes. It's not a classic cliffhanger, but it follows the first book in the sense where we are left saying, "Hold up! What?" But now I have a question for the author and it is this: WHEN DOES THE NEXT BOOK COME OUT?

Author bios
The co-authors come as a package deal with extravagant ribbons laced on top. Their combined enthusiasm is seen as a pink sunrise, uniquely captivating. They share a love for writing, fictional romance, passion-fruit tea lemonade, sweetened and shaken on ice, as well as the color pink. Their combined efforts to share their internal monologues, since they share a brain, can be found in The Date Series.

Jess is a registered dental hygienist by day and a contemporary romance author by night. She currently resides in the Greater St. Louis area with her husband of over a year. When Jess isn't writing (meaning her characters aren't demanding her undivided attention), she enjoys reading books, scouring Pinterest, collecting fountain pens, and traveling with her husband.

A self-published author by night and all around busybody by day, Sasha is an international baby, born in gorgeous South Africa. Her cultured lifestyle is one that many don't get to experience. Four countries, and a co-author later, she has published her first book of The Date Series. When she's not preoccupied with her imposing owl fixation, she's hashing out new ways to translate a titillating and libidinous scene onto a page.
