BLOG TOUR & GIVEAWAY: Chasing the Wind by Nazarea Andrews

Kaida grew up in two worlds--a child in the Manor raised by Sabah before she was granted Citzenship. But the only place she has ever felt like she's belonged is with Cedric and Guin, the boys she grew up with.

When Cedric's involvement in a rebel faction goes wrong, the Commission exiles her and holds Guin hostage. Now, she's on her own for the first time, and searching for the sister who left her behind and a princess who was stolen from the City--and then she stumbles across a face from the past.

Hawke has been an outcast since his Tribe died. When he finds Sabah's sister on the road, he agrees to help her. But as they search the wilds and grow closer, his disdain for her is slowly replaced by a deep attraction for the girl who faces every challenge so bravely.

And as the City's deadline dwindles, and the boy she loves hangs in the balance, Hawke is left to wonder if he is protecting her, or if he the biggest threat she will face.

EXCERPT

"Why?" I murmur. "You brought me to Sabah. Why do you still care?"

He leans down and nips at my lips. "Because I can."

I clench a fistful of his shirt and pull him closer, tired of his teasing. His lips collide with mine, and I gasp, suck his lower lip into my mouth. He growls and I bite down on it. He lifts me easily, pinning me between his hard body and the wall. Groans against my lips as I fit against him, and I tilt my head back, desperate for air, for some sense of the world.

Hawke strips away everything, when he kisses me.

His lips trail down my jaw, across my neck, sucking softly at my pulse point and laughing, soft and pleased, when it jumps under his tongue. I wiggle against him and he shifts, lifts his head to my ear. Presses a soft kiss, almost chaste, under my earlobe. "I Claimed you, Kaida. You are mine to care for until you send me away." He draws the earlobe into his mouth, his teeth and tongue worrying it until I'm ready to scream. "Are you sending me away?"

I shake my head, frantic, and arch against him.

He's kissing me, his hands in my hair, sucking on my lower lips and teasing me with feather light touches, when the door opens and Cedric walks in.

I freeze, going stiff in his arms, and Cedric stares at us, shock in his eyes, and then angry betrayal. For a moment, I have a no idea what he will do. What he'll say.
