COVER REVEAL: Naughty Neighbor by Jeannine Colette & Lauren Runow

Check out this amazing cover for 𝐍𝐚𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐲 𝐍𝐞𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐛𝐨𝐫: 𝐅𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚 𝐋𝐢𝐛𝐫𝐚, a sexy new romance by Jeannine Colette and Lauren Runow! It's releasing on September 23, 2020! Pre-order your copy now!

As a romance novelist, I’m facing my worst nightmare—writer’s block.

No matter what I write, I hit delete, knowing it’s not worth publishing. The future of my career rests on the success of this new book.

So, here I am, looking at Tumblr, desperate for inspiration, when I hear a thumping. Annoyed by the music blaring through the walls, I barge into the hall and bang on my neighbor’s door.

My very hot, very naughty neighbor, Jake Morreau.

Jake is romantic, charming, and the bane of my existence. I need to work, yet he refuses to let me.

When he greets me in the hallway, ideas of a sinfully hot hero come to mind.

When he takes me out on the town, the words flow as soon as I come home.

The more time I spend with this entertaining and quick-witted man, the more I’m able to write.

My neighbor is my muse, and before I know it, I slowly become the heroine of my own story, but I don’t know how to end it.

As I write the epilogue, I’m afraid our romance won’t pan out as I’ve written.

Jake Morreau is my hero.

Then again, in my life, heroes don’t exist.

RELEASE BLITZ & 5 STAR REVIEW: The Wreckage of Us by Brittainy C. Cherry

The Wreckage of Us, an all-new emotional and passionate standalone romance from Brittainy C. Cherry is available now!

Never in a million years did I think it would be Ian Parker who saved me...

I know I should stay away from Ian Parker.

But when my drug-dealing stepdad kicks me out, I have nowhere to go. Squatting in an abandoned shed on Ian’s grandpa’s farm seems like as good a plan as any.

Ian finds me there, of course, and he insists on me moving into his spare room. I should say no, but the appeal of a roof and a warm bed is too much. Not to mention Ian’s brown eyes and strong arms.

We’re nothing alike, but the spark between us is undeniable. My life is finally looking up.

Until I call the cops on my stepdad and unintentionally get my pregnant mom arrested.

Now I have to sacrifice my dreams to take care of my mom’s baby. She’s the only family I have left. Meanwhile, Ian’s band is taking off; his dreams are coming true.

Ian is my one chance at love. I just hope he doesn’t become the one chance that got away.

My Review

I received an advanced copy of this book with the promise of an honest review.

When we meet Hazel, it is clear that she is in dire straits. Her only saving grace is getting a job at the local ranch, but that also means working alongside Ian. At the beginning of this book, Ian is a big jerk. He has a giant chip on his shoulder that distorts how he sees Hazel. He blames her for things that are beyond her control and while he doesn't want to give her a chance, he doesn't have a choice. And Hazel's perception of Ian is not great either. Let's just say their first interaction pretty much sums up why she is not a fan of Ian's. They don't get off to a great start, but Hazel is determined to prove her worth to those around her.

It doesn't take long for either of them to realize their mistake. Ian and Hazel form a unlikely friendship that slowly turns into one hell of love story. It's one that will definitely take you on an emotional journey, but it it is well worth it!

Brittainy's books always feel different from everything else that I read. The stories shes tells feel rooted in the real world and I appreciate that. She stays away from the stereotypical billionaire characters and the women who love them. Not that there is anything wrong with that. I've read plenty of those books, but it's nice to read something different every now and then.

I always look forward to Brittainy's books and I can't wait to see what she brings us next.

EXCERPT

Hazel

I needed the job at Eres Ranch in order to save up money for my sister or brother. I needed money to buy prenatal vitamins for Mama. Money to make sure her fridge was full. Money to make sure that somehow the baby could come into the world with a little bit more than I had.

Then, with the rest of the money, I’d buy a one-way ticket and leave Eres and never look back. Somehow, I’d convince Mama to come with me, too, with the new baby. The last thing she needed to do was raise a child with Charlie around.

Mama was right—we did have a roof over our heads because of Charlie. But just because someone gave you four walls to stay in didn’t mean they weren’t a prison. I couldn’t wait for the day that I collected enough money to get myself my own four walls. Those four walls would be filled with love, not threats. With happiness, not fear.

And the name Charlie Riley would be a distant memory.

Big Paw rubbed the back of his neck. “We were looking for ranch hands, not some girl who’s probably too afraid to get her hands dirty.”

“I’m not afraid of that at all. I’ll get down and dirty with the rest.”

“You have to be able to lift over sixty pounds.”

“I’ll lift seventy.”

He cocked an eyebrow and leaned forward. “You have to be here before the sun rises, and if you don’t finish the task, you stay after dusk, and there ain’t no overtime. You get paid by the daily tasks being completed, not by the hours you spend here. If you get done early, you can leave early. If you get done late, you’re stuck here late. Also, I don’t

believe in three strikes. I believe in one. Mess up, and you’re gone. You understand, girl?”

If anyone else called me “girl,” I’d slam my fist straight into their nose to show them just how much of a girl I was, but hearing it come from Big Paw wasn’t an insult. He called it as he saw it in a straightforward way. He’d call any man younger than him “boy,” too, because he could. I was sure people who identified differently would be offended by the title Big Paw would give them, but he was too old to bother correcting himself.

Old dog, new tricks and all.

“I understand.” I nodded. “I’ll be the hardest worker out there, I promise.”

He grumbled some more and rubbed his beard. “Fine, but don’t come complaining to me when you ruin your favorite pair of shoes in the pigpens. You report to the stables tomorrow at noon sharp for training with my grandson, Ian. He’ll be in charge of getting you up and running.”

I sat up a bit straighter as my stomach tightened. “Wait, Ian is training me?” I frowned. “Are you sure Marcus or James or someone can’t take me on?”

“No. Those boys are already training a few other ranch hands.” He raised his brow once more. “You aren’t already making yourself difficult, are you?”

I shook my head. “No, sir—er—Big Paw. Sorry. That is fine. Noon tomorrow. I’ll be there.”

The idea of being trained by Ian Parker made me want to gag. He was known as the playboy rock star of Eres. Ian had graduated three years before me, and I’d been the lucky girl with my locker right beside his during my freshman year. Which meant I’d had a front-and-center viewing of him swapping spit with whatever small-town groupie was wrapped around his pinkie at the time.

COVER REVEAL: The Right Player by Kandi Steiner

Kandi Steiner has revealed the cover for The Right Player: A Sports Romance!
Releasing: September 24, 2020
Cover Photography: Perrywinkle Photography

I have a three date rule — but it’s not what you think.

See, I’ve been told I’m the “good time girl,” not the one you take home to Mom. And while that label stung at first, I’ve since embraced it — living the wild and free life and sticking to a three date max. That’s just enough time to have some fun and snuff out the possibility of catching feelings. And it’s been working for me for years…

Until Makoa Kumaka.

Sadly, he also has a three date rule — and it’s the exact opposite of mine. From the second I meet him, all I can think about is stripping down that six-foot-five Herculean hunk of a man. But like the gentleman I wish he wasn’t, he’s making me wait.

The more time we spend together, the more I feel those pesky emotions creeping in. I’m even tempted to trust him, but blame it on my past or my instincts, I can’t shake the feeling that he’s hiding something…

I’ve been playing the game forever, and no man has ever won my heart — which meant they never had the power to break it.

But maybe I just hadn’t met the right player.

Maybe I’ll wish I never did.

Kandi Steiner is a bestselling author and whiskey connoisseur living in Tampa, FL. Best known for writing "emotional rollercoaster" stories, she loves bringing flawed characters to life and writing about real, raw romance -- in all its forms. No two Kandi Steiner books are the same, and if you're a lover of angsty, emotional, and inspirational reads, she's your gal.

An alumna of the University of Central Florida, Kandi graduated with a double major in Creative Writing and Advertising/PR with a minor in Women's Studies. She started writing back in the 4th grade after reading the first Harry Potter installment. In 6th grade, she wrote and edited her own newspaper and distributed to her classmates. Eventually, the principal caught on and the newspaper was quickly halted, though Kandi tried fighting for her "freedom of press." She took particular interest in writing romance after college, as she has always been a die hard hopeless romantic, and likes to highlight all the challenges of love as well as the triumphs.

When Kandi isn't writing, you can find her reading books of all kinds, talking with her extremely vocal cat, and spending time with her friends and family. She enjoys live music, traveling, anything heavy in carbs, beach days, movie marathons, craft beer and sweet wine -- not necessarily in that order.

My Review

I received an advanced copy of this book with the promise of an honest review.

Well hellooooo friends to romance trope! I love this trope. It's like catnip for me. In this case we have the third Arrowood brother, Sean, and his best friend, Devney. Sean has come back for his obligatory six month stay and while he's home, he is determined to win Devney's heart. This is totally a case of he has feelings for her and she has feelings for him, but neither are willing to admit it. Sean has his life as a professional baseball player and Devney is content with living at home, close to her loved ones. So of course it seems complicated and it's up to the both of them to figure things out.

As I was reading this I thought to myself, "Huh, well I haven't cried yet, so maybe I can get away with this one" and then like two chapters later....BAM! For real y'all....I cried. Like a lot. Corinne loves to just rip our hearts out. Luckily she is really good at repairing what she injured.

This book was a good addition to the Arrowood series and in it we get to see a familiar face as well as some names that readers will be familiar with. Now give me Jacob's story!

RELEASE BLITZ & 5 STAR REVIEW: That Swoony Feeling by Meghan Quinn

THAT SWOONY FEELING: by Meghan Quinn
Release Date: August 6th
Genre: Romantic Comedy
Add to Goodreads: https://bit.ly/2EoUZPv

USA Today bestselling author Meghan Quinn brings more humor and heart with the fourth novel of her Getting Lucky series: a story about breaking curses and finally finding that swoony feeling.

I'm single . . . so single it's painful.

Yup, ladies, Brig Knightly--that's me--is still a lonely bachelor, stumbling through the streets of Port Snow, looking for the girl he's supposed to end up with.

That is until my brother, Rogan, presents me with the opportunity of a lifetime. The Summer of Love, a secret pen pal program in Port Snow is looking for applicants and I'm the perfect fit.

I couldn't sign up fast enough.

I found myself quickly falling in love with a pair of red lips at the bottom of a letter. Just like in the movies . . .

Life could not have been better, that was until I started hanging out with Ruth Barber. Starting a new business right next to my shop, I found myself gravitating toward her. Her smile, her humor . . . her tea sandwiches.

My attraction for Ruth came in full force, leaving me dazed, confused, and *ahem* excited.

As new feelings for two women come to a screeching halt, I have to figure out who to choose. But when I discover my pen pal is Ruth, it might be too late.

All I want in life is to experience that swoony feeling . . . but I think I might have just missed my chance.

My Review

I received an advanced copy of this book with the promise of an honest review

Gah! Brig and Ruth were EVERYTHING. Between Ruth having a crush on Brig for YEARS and Brig wanting to find love, these two seemed like a good pair and luckily for them, they had family and friends to push them in the right direction.

Ruth has been in a funk since her parents passed away and Brig is still hung up on the Knightly brother curse. When Ruth gets a chance to expand her business, she finds herself working closely with Brig, despite her protests (the man doesn't take no for an answer). I loved how their friendship developed and the fact that they were writing letters back and forth as part of a secret pen pal program, made it much more interesting.

Oh Brig. You are adorable, hilarious and dumb. So dumb. And I love ya for it. No, really. Throughout this series, you have been the one who made me laugh the most and I really wanted you to get your  happily ever after. I knew your book would be fantastic and I wasn't let down. I'm sad this series is over. I love the Knightly family and their crazy text message chains. They almost always made me laugh, especially when Jen would come in with her one liner that would just out all the boys in their place.

I'll miss you Knightly family!
