My past. My memories. My future.

In order to protect the case, the lawyers demand that no one give me any information about my life . . . I must remember on my own. My only help comes from my brother's best friend and world-renowned investigative reporter, Spencer Cross.
He has no idea how many nights I've spent dreaming of his name—and his body—next to mine.
Now we're a team and our goal is to recover my memories and retrace my past. But each day we spend together, he's looking at me as more than his friend's little sister and I find it harder to want my old life back. Instead I'm wishing for a new one—with him. His kiss feels like home. His arms make me feel safe, and I never want this to end.
As my memories return, forcing me to face my future, everything falls apart... especially when I find an engagement ring hidden in my apartment. I have no idea who gave it to me, or what it means about my past.

But each day we spend together, he’s looking at me as more than his friend’s little sister and I find it harder to want my old life back. Instead I’m wishing for a new one–with him. My father’s dying wish was to walk me down the aisle, and I’d do anything for him.
Even marry a man I don’t love.
So when my fiance jilts me only days before the ceremony, I turn to my college friend, Oliver Parkerson, and convince him to marry me.
My family hasn’t met either man, so I’m confident we can pull this off.
But the feelings, our touches, the way my heart beats for him... none of it feels pretend. The way he holds me at night and carries me through loss tells me he’s not acting either.
I didn't mean to fall for my fake husband, but real love was the one thing I couldn't predict.
Except, nothing built on lies can last—I know that better than anyone.
I received an advanced copy of this book with the promise of an honest review.
This is the last book in the series and I am sad to see the Parkerson family go. I've been looking forward to reading Oliver's story and while I enjoyed it, something happened at 78% that felt unnecessary. The author loves to put her characters through it and I usually go with the flow, but this time it just didn't sit right with me. Maybe it was because of why they got married to begin with....I don't know. So from that point on I was a little "meh" about the book.
Besides that, there is a lot to like about this book. Fake marriage and forced proximity are both tropes I enjoy and I would even say it's friends to lovers as well, which I love even more. Oliver and Maren truly started their marriage as friends, which is always fun to watch unfold. He's doing her a favor, but he also feels a connection to her. And Maren feels the connection as well, which makes the whole fake marriage thing easier to pull off. Their relationship is sweet and a little sexy and I was definitely on their side.
One thing that I absolutely LOVED about this book was the reappearance of some of my favorite Corinne Michaels' characters! I won't give anything away, but if you are a fan of her backlist, you will enjoy the cameos as much as I did.

New York Times Bestselling author Corinne Michaels returns to Willow Creek Valley in this stunning surprise baby/unrequited love romance.
I was totally over Joshua Parkerson.
Sure, I had a teenage crush on him way back when–and everyone knew it–but he never saw me as anything but his little brother’s friend, the girl who got tongue-tied any time he walked into a room.
I had long ago accepted the fact that his strong arms would never hold me, his lush lips would never claim mine, and his blue eyes would never see me as anything more than who I used to be.
But now he’s back in Willow Creek Valley, and there’s a brand-new spark between us–even he can’t fight it. Our chemistry is explosive, and every time we’re together, I swear I can feel the earth shake.
It doesn’t mean anything… how could it? I’m over him.
Until I see that little pink plus sign, and the earth stops turning completely.
Now I want it all again, a life with him. But Joshua built walls around his heart for a reason, and his secrets haunt him.
How can I show him that the ghosts of his past don’t have to define our new family’s future?
I received an advanced copy of this book with the promise of an honest review.
It's not that I didn't like this this book, but I'm not sure that unrequited love (which actually turned out to be mutual pining) and surprise baby are two tropes that should be used together. A lot of the relationship between Delia and Josh felt a bit forced and it wasn't until they have to go through a tragedy that I felt a real connection between them.
For me, the best parts of the books were when Josh was with his siblings. The Parkerson family has been brought together through their hatred of their father. They've been apart for many years, working in their respective locations, and now they are all in the same place at the same time. It's quite entertaining to watch unfold.
This book was just okay for me. I guessed the "big thing" that happened and I don't know if that is because I read a lot and can see certain things coming a mile away or because I know that Corinne likes to tug at the heartstrings. Either way, when it happened I just didn't feel the usual emotion.
Now bring on Oliver's book because the ending of this book gave us a little tease and it definitely piqued my interest.

New York Times Bestselling author Corinne Michaels returns to the Willow Creek Valley Series in this stunning friends-to-lovers/brother’s best friend romance.
Fifteen years ago, I fell for Jack O’Donnell.
I was just a girl, but I knew my brother’s best friend was the only man I’d ever love.
On my eighteenth birthday, when I asked him to kiss me, I never imagined it would change my life so completely.
I gave Jack everything that night.
In order to move on, we had to go our separate ways and pretend like nothing happened... as though it wasn’t the greatest moment of my life.
But even that wasn’t as heartbreaking as the secret we were forced to keep.
I’ve tried not to think about how much I still love him. How I long to be back in his strong arms or the way his hazel eyes make my heart race.
Until he kisses me again. And this time there’s no turning back. This time I know what it means.
We belong together and there’s no use denying it any longer.
But our feelings aren’t the only thing that won’t stay buried, our past resurfaces and threatens to destroy our second chance at happiness.
When our love is tested once again, will we be strong enough to stand together?
I received an advanced copy of this book with the promise of an honest review.
Going into this, I was so curious about Jack and Stella's relationship. It was clear from the previous book that they had a past, but that was all we knew. Well, this book starts off by kicking you right in the heart and everything started to make sense. I know that Corinne loves to torture her readers so I wasn't surprised, but I definitely wasn't expecting the book to go the way it did.
I really enjoyed this book, but I definitely yelled at my kindle a bit. "JUST GET TOGETHER ALREADY!" was definitely said a few times, but thankfully we didn't have to wait too long for that to happen. Then the book just took off and I was so engrossed in how everything was going to play out.
This is an emotional read that will take you on quite a journey, but most of Corinne's book are like that so just make sure you have some tissues handy.

From New York Times bestselling author Corinne Michaels comes a new second chance standalone love story.
At eighteen, I walked away from Willow Creek Valley for good. I was young, scared, and stupid, and it cost me the love of my life—Grayson Parkerson.
Fourteen years later, a crash sends me back home to recover.
Back to where we met, fell in love, and planned a future. The one he’s now living as a single dad to his daughter. Working at The Park Inn together gives us a chance to reconnect, and seeing him with his little girl makes me long for the days when he was mine. One look in his gorgeous blue-green eyes, and it’s like I never left. One kiss, and my world is upside down. One night together, and I know without a doubt, in his arms is where I belong.
I’m not the girl I was—intimidated by his wealthy family and desperate to escape our small town. I can imagine a new life for us here.
But he’s learned to guard his heart, and trust won’t come easily.
How can I convince him to give first love a second chance?
I received an advanced copy of this book with the promise of an honest review.
Second chance romance is one of my favorite tropes and Corinne does it really well! We met Jessica in Corinne's previous book Stay For Me and I was very excited to read her story.
After being away for many years, Jessica finds herself back in her hometown. She's injured, but healing, and trying to figure out what to do with her life. and it doesn't take long before she comes face to face with her one true love, Grayson. If you read Stay For Me, you will remember that he was the one Jessica was thinking of when her life was in danger. So to be in the same town again gives them both a chance to right the wrongs of a past.
I enjoyed this book. I liked both Jessica and Grayson and I loved Grayson's daughter Amelia. She was hilarious and had a knack for lightening the mood at the right moments. I'm looking forward to the rest of this series. Throughout the book we meet Grayson's siblings and they are all pretty great. I can't wait to get their stories as well.

Hollywood taught me everything I know about relationships—except how to be in one. As an actor, I became an expert at faking it. Faking that I wasn't affected by my childhood. Faking that I was okay. Faking that I knew how to save the day, the girl, the whole damn world.
But I've always known the truth—I’m no one's hero.
Until I’m forced to move back to Sugarloaf for six months, and Brenna Allen offers me a chance to prove otherwise. She’s everything I never knew I wanted, but can't have. Her broken heart, perfect face, and adorable children turn my world upside down. Instead of preparing for my next leading role, I’m directing a middle school play.
All to make her smile.
The more time I spend here, the more I want to stay. Build a life in this town that I swore I’d leave—for her.
But when the world comes crashing down around us, I’m forced to decide if staying for her is the right choice or if leaving is better for the woman I love.

I've been waiting for Jacob's book and I was not disappointed! He's the last Arrowood boy to come home and like his brothers before him, he thinks that he will serve his six months and move on. But if you've read the previous books, you will know that that is not how things played out for his brothers. Of course he thinks he will be the exception, but then he meets Brenna.
I loved Jacob and Brenna. They both know that getting involved was a terrible idea, but they also realized that being just friends was impossible. They stayed "just friends" as long as they could until they just couldn't do it anymore.
My favorite thing about this book was that we finally had all the Arrowood boys in one place at the same time and it was wonderful. I loved the relationship between all of them, especially when they are teasing each other. As soon as they all realize that Jacob is going through what they all went through, they're supportive, but they also tell him that he needs to be careful considering Brenna's recent personal loss. Nothing like some brotherly love to help him through things.
This book is a great ending to the series, but we do meet a character who will be getting her own book! I won't say anything else, but an important even that occurs in this book makes way for a future Corinne Michaels' book and I can't wait to read it!

Devney Maxwell has been my best friend since we were six years old, but she has no idea I’m in love with her.
Even when I’m on the road playing professional baseball, she’s my home—the only one I’ve ever known. But when I return to Sugarloaf to care for the family farm, I discover she’s trying to talk herself into a life with the wrong man … and I become desperate. It only takes a single, perfect kiss to change everything. I have six months to get it right with Devney—to convince her to leave this town and turn that kiss into forever. I aim to do just that as I spend my days coaching her nephew’s baseball team, fixing up the farm, and loving her with all I have. Finally, it seems like our relationship is secure and we’ll find a way to make it work. Then tragedy strikes ... changing her life forever. She’s needed here more than ever, but as for me—there’s no way I can stay. I know she’s the one for me, but I might have to let her go ...

Well hellooooo friends to romance trope! I love this trope. It's like catnip for me. In this case we have the third Arrowood brother, Sean, and his best friend, Devney. Sean has come back for his obligatory six month stay and while he's home, he is determined to win Devney's heart. This is totally a case of he has feelings for her and she has feelings for him, but neither are willing to admit it. Sean has his life as a professional baseball player and Devney is content with living at home, close to her loved ones. So of course it seems complicated and it's up to the both of them to figure things out.
As I was reading this I thought to myself, "Huh, well I haven't cried yet, so maybe I can get away with this one" and then like two chapters later....BAM! For real y'all....I cried. Like a lot. Corinne loves to just rip our hearts out. Luckily she is really good at repairing what she injured.
This book was a good addition to the Arrowood series and in it we get to see a familiar face as well as some names that readers will be familiar with. Now give me Jacob's story!
