COVER RE-REVEAL: Bad Habits Series by Staci Hart

The Bad Habits Series has a new face and I am here for it! Staci Hart has recreated such stunning covers for the series and I can’t get enough. You can grab all three of these books, LIVE on Amazon, today!

Love is somewhere near the bottom of Lily Thomas’ list of life goals, right next to competitive eating and underwater cave diving. She’s spent six years pirouetting and pliéing her way up the ranks of the New York Ballet with her eye on the prize and love in the back seat. But now that Blane Baker -- Lily’s long time crush -- is finally single, she’ll throw her rules out the window without thinking twice.

Reality with Blane isn’t as epic as the fantasy she imagined, and the truth sends her spinning straight into the arms of the man she never knew she’d always wanted.

West Williams has been friends with Lily since the day she moved into their building and he saved her armoire from a swift, sudden death by staircase. Their friendship has always been easy, the boundaries clearly defined. With neither of them willing to risk their relationship, they’ve drifted happily through the years as companions, never considering more.

That is, until they do. And that realization changes everything.

With a Twist is a standalone romantic comedy and part of the Bad Habits series.

Everyone knows you should never say never.

Cooper Moore never saw Maggie Williams coming. She was just his best friend’s little sister, the curly-haired, freckle-faced girl from Mississippi who was absolutely off limits. And he never thought about her any other way — not until he saw her that night, broken and brave. From that moment on, he knew he’d do whatever it took to protect her, even if it meant he had to stay away.

Maggie never expected to find her fiancé banging her maid of honor an hour before she was set to walk down the aisle, but life’s funny that way. The only option to save her sanity is to get the hell out of Jackson and move to New York where her brother lives. The only downside: Cooper is there too. And she just doesn’t know if she can stay away from him — the filthy rich, dead sexy playboy who’s allergic to commitment.

The second Maggie sees him again, she realizes he’ll be impossible to resist. Luckily, commitment is the last thing on her mind, and Cooper is the perfect escape. As long as she can keep her heart in check, everything will be just fine. Because she can never have feelings for him. Or at least that’s what she’ll keep telling herself.

Chaser is a bestselling standalone romantic comedy and second book in the Bad Habits series.

Once Rose Fisher makes a decision, that’s it. End of story.

Like when her ex, Patrick, dumped her out of the blue, then showed up with a super hot, tatted up sex kitten on his arm. Then it was over for good. The end. Poof. Dead to her. Except he was everywhere — down the hall, at the bar with their friends, worming his way into her dreams.

But with their friends paired off, they’re left alone more and more. Rose is determined to keep him friendzoned — doesn’t matter that he stares at her with a smolder that drops all panties in a ten foot radius. She’s over him, and she’ll prove it by getting back into the dating game, Patrick be damned.

Patrick Evans is no stranger to consequences. When your mother walks out, your dad drifts away. When you leave home, you’re on your own. And when you run away from the girl you love, you lose her. He finally has an opportunity to rebuild the bridge he burned, and it’s not one he’ll take for granted. But he’ll have to fight for her, even if it hurts. Even if it means he’ll walk away brokenhearted. Because deep down, he knows that she’s it for him.

The trick will be to get her to admit she feels it too.

Last Call is a bestselling standalone romantic comedy and third book in the Bad Habits series.

Staci has been a lot of things up to this point in her life -- a graphic designer, an entrepreneur, a seamstress, a clothing and handbag designer, a waitress. Can't forget that. She's also been a mom, with three little girls who are sure to grow up to break a number of hearts. She's been a wife, though she's certainly not the cleanest, or the best cook. She's also super, duper fun at a party, especially if she's been drinking whiskey. When she's not writing, she's reading, sleeping, gaming, or designing graphics.

My Review

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I love this book. I love the story. I love Cooper. I love Maggie. I love the supporting characters. I love that this book takes place in NYC. So yeah, I basically love everything about this book.

OH. MY. GOD. Cooper Moore. Cooper Freaking Moore y'all. He's good looking. Charming. He's extremely rich from an inherited fortune, so he spends his days doing basically nothing. And he's quite the ladies man although some would probably call him a manwhore. From that description alone one would think that Cooper is a giant douchebag, but he's not. He is AWESOME. And I highlighted so much of this darn book because the man is funny, sweet, clever, sexy and he had me swooning left and right. Oh and I almost forgot the best part...Cooper is a closet nerd:
Music played softly as I stretched out on my leather recliner in my favorite room in the entire world, reading Watchmen for the ten thousandth time.
Some rich guys had a red room of pain. I had a black room of nerd.
Shelves lined one wall completely, lit to display collector action figures, graphic novels, comics. The other three walls were covered in framed artwork with gallery lights —Gambit and Rogue’s first kiss signed by Stan Lee, the original Batman movie poster signed by Tim Burton and Michael Keaton. Art made from my favorite comic frames, one floor to ceiling piece from V for Vendetta with a note from Alan Moore along the bottom.
And in the corner, in a standing case, was my very own custom-made Batman suit.
Seriously, don’t look at me like that.
My defense is this: I really, really wanted to go to ComicCon. My addiction is my dirty secret. No one knows, and I don’t want them to. If I went to ComicCon as Cooper Moore, everyone would find out. But if I went as Batman, my secret would be safe, even if a hundred people took pictures with me that day.
I smiled to myself. It was maybe the most epic day of my life.
And that was the moment I fell in love with Cooper Moore.

Very early in this story we find out that Maggie slept with Cooper (that scene...**SWOON**) on the night of her wedding that never happened. They had one night of passion and then they didn't see each other until Maggie moves to NYC a few months later. They pick up where they left off, but with some rules, Maggie's rule. They will only hook up for two weeks, they tell no one what's going on and after the two weeks, things end and they go their separate ways. Sounds easy enough right? Riiiiiight.

Here's the thing....Maggie and Cooper make an amazing couple. They are so comfortable with each other and they can just hang out and do nothing (after they have the hot sex, of course). But in Maggie's mind they are together for just the two weeks and it doesn't matter that she is obviously falling in love with Cooper. And eventually Cooper does want more. He basically tricks Maggie into a real relationship and she had no idea what was happening. It was quite amusing to watch play out. But keeping their relationship from the rest of the group and the fact that Maggie never dealt with the fact that she was a jilted bride takes its toll on them and their relationship.

One of the reasons why I loved this book so much is because it takes place where I live, New York City. The author has basically made NYC into another character. Central Park, 5th Avenue, the Hamptons, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Coney Island, New York City Ballet...all of these places are important to the story. She uses these we ll known landmarks to help tell the story along and she does it so well. I live here and this book made me want to go to those locations and have my own awesome moments.

I'm looking forward to get Rose and Tricky's story in the next book. The author has been teasing us with the ridiculous sexual tension between these two and I can't wait for it to come to a head. I think it will be well worth the wait.

From that moment on, he knew he’d do whatever it took to protect her, even if it meant he had to stay away.

Maggie never expected to find her fiancé banging her maid of honor an hour before she was set to walk down the aisle, but life’s funny that way. Chaser Teaser 2

Excerpt
Cooper grabbed me by the hips and dragged me to the end of the bed where he knelt. I gasped — somehow, I was completely naked, but he was fully clothed, smiling up the line of my body, that crooked smile of his that made my insides turn into mush. My thighs rested against his shoulders, and his eyes were smoldering hot, locked onto mine as he closed his lips over me and sucked. Hard.

“Whoamygod.”

That’s what I tried to say, at least, but I think it sounded more like Humuguh. Not that Cooper needed clarification. His eyes closed, dark lashes against his cheeks, fingers digging into my hips as he licked and sucked, sending tremors up my thighs when he moaned softly against me. My eyes slammed shut, and my chin pointed at the ceiling as my fingers twisted in his dark hair. Within seconds, I was rocking against him with my heart doing its best to escape my ribs and the rest of my body begging him to keep going.

He broke away. I cracked my lids, which weighed about seven pounds each, and glanced down at him. His face was turned toward the closed bedroom door, with alarm written in every angle.
And then I heard the front door close.

Lily.

Cooper looked back at me, blue eyes wide, and we stared at each other for one stunned second before bursting into action. I rolled out of bed with wobbly knees, and he stood, scanning the room for a place to hide.

Here’s the problem: No one knew Cooper and I were hooking up.

Here’s the bigger problem: My brother, West, might actually kill Cooper if he found out.
