My Review

I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. 

I couldn't wait to read this one. Then the cover was released and I  got even more excited. Talk about perfect. I can't help but stare at it and it's been weeks since it was first revealed. Not only does this book have a friends to lovers story line (my personal form of catnip), but it is also a second chance romance. And not to mention that Rose and Tricky have been giving each other "I want to rip your clothes off and do dirty things to you" eyes for the last two books. So yeah...I was ready.

Up until this book we didn't really know much about the history between Rose and Tricky. Just that one day they were a couple and then the next day they weren't. It was very obvious that they still had feelings for one another, but just how deep those feelings went was the mystery. 

I don't want to give specifics about the plot because this is one of those books where I feel the reader should experience the everything themselves, but I will say that I highlighted the crap out of it because there were so many great moments. Tricky and Rose are thrown together under unique circumstances and as they try make the best of it hilarity ensues. These two may not have the most conventional relationship, but what they feel for each other is the real deal. Unfortunately, they are their own worst enemies and that is is preventing them from being happy. 

I love this series so much. Staci's book are funny (Taxidermy furniture? Say what?????). Heartfelt. Emotional. You can be laughing one moment and then crying the next. I love how close the group is and how much they support each other, even when they don't agree. Case in point: the unsung heroes in this book are West and Lily. Good job guys! When I read these books I can't help but think, "I want to be friends with these people!" And just like the two previous books, we get some great NYC visuals and that make me very happy since I call NYC my home. 

If you are a fan of this series, this is a MUST READ. And if you are new to it, go back, get the first two books, sit back and enjoy.
