My Review

I received an advanced copy of this book with the promise of an honest review.

The Queen of Dirty Talk is at is again. And this time she has given us Jason Bristow. You guys, I loved him. A LOT. Thank you Tessa. I mean, the man is HOT. Not only can he dirty talk the panties right off a lady, he is also a cranky, military man who has come home to temporarily take care of his teenage sister. *SWOON*

It is literally minutes before she is supposed to walk down the aisle and Naomi can't bring herself to do it. She doesn't love Elijah the way he deserves to be loved and frankly, she deserves better than marrying someone because it is convenient. So she runs away from the wedding and heads south. For the first time in her life she is alone and has to fend for herself.

Naomi ends up in St. Augustine and after answering an ad in the paper and having a very interesting interview, she is now a pageant coach to Birdie, a young girl who isn't your typical pageant contestant. Unfortunately for Naomi, Birdie's brother Jason (*whispers* I love you Jason.) is making things a bit difficult. At least at first. The two manage to come to an agreement that they will coexist for Birdie's sake, but it doesn't take long for that to change. And when I say "change" I mean these two give in to the sexual tension that appeared the second they met.

I mentioned earlier that Jason was good at the dirty talk, but my words can not do that man justice. Just trust me when I say that he could most definitely win the gold medal at the Dirty Talk Olympics. He unleashed Naomi's inner sex kitten, which she didn't know she had and OH MY GOD it was so freaking hot. There's this scene where he takes Naomi out on his boat and well...I won't give anything away, but I will say that you will need a cold shower after reading it.

But this book isn't all about the sexy times. Over the course of just a couple months, Naomi manages to finds her true self. All those years spent under her parents thumbs kept her from becoming the person she wanted to be. By running away from her wedding, she set herself free and was able to become a much better version of herself. And she did it with some help from Jason and Birdie. But Naomi also helped them. Thanks to a big age difference, Jason didn't really know his sister and coming home to take care of her was a bit of a struggle. Naomi was able to help them find some common ground and actually communicate with each other. And don't even get me started on how ridiculously cute and awkward Jason was throughout the whole book when he was try to talk to Birdie. It both broke my heart and made me swoon at the same time. How? I don't know...that the magic of Tessa's words.

I absolutely LOVED this book. After Getaway Girl I was so curious about Naomi and by the end I wanted to be her best friend. She was funny and could charm just about anyone, but she was also quite sassy and stubborn, which I loved as well.

Do yourself a favor and 1-click this book! You won't be disappointed!

Author Bio

Tessa Bailey is originally from Carlsbad, California. The day after high school graduation, she packed her yearbook, ripped jeans and laptop, driving cross-country to New York City in under four days.

Her most valuable life experiences were learned thereafter while waitressing at K-Dees, a Manhattan pub owned by her uncle. Inside those four walls, she met her husband, best friend and discovered the magic of classic rock, managing to put herself through Kingsborough Community College and the English program at Pace University at the same time. Several stunted attempts to enter the work force as a journalist followed, but romance writing continued to demand her attention.

She now lives in Long Island, New York with her husband of ten years and six-year-old daughter. Although she is severely sleep-deprived, she is incredibly happy to be living her dream of writing about people falling in love.
