Blurb

Charlie Davenport is the bad boy of British tennis - and third in line to the throne. He’s a beast on the courts, and a wild animal in bed (according to all the tabloids). Girls are lining up for chance at his crown jewels, and when I stumble into the wrong Wimbledon dressing room and catch a glimpse of his game, set, AND match, I can see why.

So what’s a little good luck kiss between f̶r̶i̶e̶n̶d̶s̶ strangers?

I know better than to get involved with a bad boy like Charlie. But now he’s on a winning streak, he thinks I’m his lucky charm - and you know what’s luckier than a kiss?

Everything.

Suddenly, I've got paparazzi on my trail, exes coming out of the woodwork — and you don’t know ‘cutthroat’ until you’ve seen a pack of hungry socialites set loose near the Royal Family.

I’m in way over my head, and even worse - I’m falling in love.  Can this American girl win her Prince Charming? Or will we both crash out of the championships in flames?

Wimbledon-meets-The Prince and Me in this hilarious, sexy new romance from Katie McCoy!

My Review

I received an advanced copy of this book with the promise of an honest review.

By the time you read this review I will be on a plane to the UK trying to find my own ridiculously sweet, gorgeous, tennis playing prince. Okay, maybe not, but it sounds like a good plan doesn't it? So for now I will just make room for Charlie Davenport to join the rest of my book boyfriends. Welcome to the list Charlie!

Charlie is the bad boy of tennis. He has a reputation on and off the court, which shouldn't really be an issue, but he also happens to be a member of the royal family. He's the black sheep of the family and is constantly being scolded by his brother and/or the family's PR team. Playing the Prince has never appealed to him and he's not about to start now.

Emmy is spending the the summer in London with her friend Paige and to make some money she is working one of the tea tents at Wimbledon. One of her first tasks she is given results in her not only getting very lost, but stumbling upon a very naked Charlie. She has no idea who he is and before she knows it, she is giving him a good luck kiss. A good luck kiss that sets the rest of the book in motion.

Charlie. *sigh* I cannot express how much I love Charlie. He was basically the opposite of what everyone thought he was and yes, he's royalty, but he really just wanted to live a normal life. And Emmy couldn't have been more perfect for Charlie. She was caring, funny, laid back and although she had moments when she felt a bit overwhelmed by everything, she was able to roll with the punches. She also understood Charlie in ways that no one else could and was able to help his family understand each other. It was lovely to watch their relationship grow and thrive despite all the obstacles they faced.

I'm not going to lie...I think this book is pretty close to perfect. The location. The plot. The main characters. The secondary characters. The fact that it took place during Wimbledon. I love tennis! It was funny, touching, and super sexy. This is another fantastic read by Katie!
