When Eli returns home after being injured, he needs a place to stay. He has no family so a Major that he has become close with has him stay at his house. Eli is grateful for for having a place to stay, but once he meets Maggie, the Major's daughter, everything changes. The two of them get a long like gangbusters, but she is still in high school and not eighteen yet. So Eli does what he needs to do to make sure that they will eventually be able to be together.
I loved Eli. He was so sweet and I loved how much he cared for Maggie. She may have been young, but she was one of those "a lot older than her age" teenagers. The two of them had this connection that was unlike anything they had experienced. And while there is heat in this book, it's not constant like in most of Alexa's books, but it is still so good! And the pay off is fantastic! And there was this secondary story line that surprised me a little and made me very happy!
Yay! Another awesome Alexa Riley book! This one was great because when you think it's over....IT'S NOT! Ha! I'll leave it at that. Oh and that cover....LOVE. IT.
