My Review

I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. 

Abby and Max grew up together. They were friends all through high school, but lost touch after. When Abby shows up as the new physical therapist for Max's NFL team, he doesn't recognize her at first. But once he does, he can't help but think of her as the girl he used to know, not the girl she is now. Of course he eventually comes around and the two of them get together, but it's not all smooth sailing. 

Abby and Max definitelyhad lots of chemistry. They had a long history, which was good because they knew a lot about each other, but at the same time the past got in the way. The best parts of the book where when they were together, in the moment and genuinely happy. 

While I didn't dislike this book, I had a hard time liking Max. I love a good redeemable character, but I don't feel like Max earned it. He spent so much of the book being a jerk to Abby and I wanted to see him grovel some more.I don't doubt that Max is a good guy, but I wanted to see more of that guy and not the jerky football player. I wanted to see the transformation and not just the instant switch. I guess overall I needed the story to be longer.
