RELEASE BLITZ & REVIEW: Open Fire (Florida Glaze, #3) by ME Carter

His chestnuts will be roasting…

With just 24 hours to hang out with his dad, Becker Bell is determined to get home for Christmas. Things aren’t looking promising. Multiple delays are making it harder than necessary to get where he needs to be, leaving him frustrated and even worse… bored. That is, until a scattered redhead is knocked right off her feet in front of him.

Sloan Webster just wants to be with her family for the holidays. However, between security mishaps and several hours’ worth of delays, it seems the universe is against her. But when an unexpected good Samaritan offers his assistance, things begin looking up.

Maybe there’s time for a Christmas miracle after all…

My Review

I received an advanced copy of this book with the promise of an honest review.

Sloan and Becker find themselves stranded at an airport, trying to get home for Christmas. Initially on their own, they discover they are on the same flight and have plenty of time to kill, so they spend it together. There isn't a ton to do in the airport, but they definitely find ways to entertain themselves and in the process, they get to know each other.

Now, there isn't a lot of spice in this book, but honestly, it didn't need it. But there is a lot of possibility of spice. It's clear that Sloan and Becker like each other, but their current situation is being stranded at the airport with lots of other people. And they are headed home to see family, but they will eventually be back in the same city. Lots of possibilities.

I started this book while I was on a couple hour bus ride and I was able to finish it while I was still on the bus ride. It was an absolute delight and I couldn't put it down!

Author Bio

My name is ME Carter and I have no idea how I ended writing books. I'm more of a story teller (the more exaggerated the better) and I happen to know people who helped me get those stories on paper.

I love reading (read almost 300 books last year), hate working out (but I do it anyway because my trainer makes me), love food (but hate what it does to my butt) and love traveling to non-touristy places most people never see.

I live in Houston with my four kids, Mary, Elizabeth, Carter and Bug, who was just a twinkle in my eye when I came up with my pen name. Yeah, I'll probably have to pay for his therapy someday for being left out.
