RELEASE BLITZ & 5 STAR REVIEW: Atonement (Possession #2) by T.K. Leigh

Londyn Bennett entered my world like a hurricane. One I was grossly unprepared for.

But in the short time we’ve known each other, she’s opened my eyes to things I never expected. She taught me about acceptance. Compassion. Love.

Because of her, I’ve also been forced to learn about prejudice. Cruelty. Hate.

We may come from two different worlds, but the second we met, our hearts beat as one, nothing able to sever our connection.

Or so I thought.

When the bubble we’ve been living in bursts, will our love be strong enough to weather the gale-force winds threatening to upend everything? Or is hatred too powerful to overcome?

A wise person once told me that the right path isn’t always the easy one.

I just never realized the right path could be so treacherous.

Atonement in the final book in the Possession Duet, a gripping opposites attract, interracial romance that tests the limits of love.

My Review

I received an advanced copy of this book with the promise of an honest review.

Whew! TK really took us on a journey with this one. Let me start by saying that this book is difficult to read at times. In Possession there were some sensitive topics that were talked about and touched upon, but in this book those topics are really brought to the forefront. I just wanted to reach into the story and yell at some of the characters and/or smack them upside the head. I also had these moments where the events of the book made me so angry, I had to put it down.

Having said that, this book is excellent. It picks up where Possession left off  (so go read that if you haven't!) and the story unfolds from there. And it is a complicated one. Wes and Londyn's path to happily ever after is filled with plenty of setbacks. There were people who wanted to see them break up, but throughout the whole thing it is clear that their relationship is the real deal.

I just loved this book so much! Wes just kept being amazing and Londyn grew into this amazing, kick ass woman who I not only wanted to be friends with, but who I also wanted to stand up and applaud.

Now bring on the next book! I won't give anything away, but let's just say that I can't wait for this character to get their happily ever after.

CW: Sexual assault, physical assault, racism, emotional abuse, talk of a death of a loved one
