My Review
I received an advanced copy of this book with the promise of an honest review.
I love me a southern gentleman and if you were to look that phrase up in the dictionary, Pierce Kendrick's picture would be next to it. He's polite, kind, charming, loving, successful, loyal to a fault and well liked. He doesn't want to stir the pot, but he will do what he needs to do for his loved ones.
Darby Graham was Pierce's high school sweetheart. And despite that fact that she left town under terrible circumstances and the two haven't spoke in YEARS, she is still one of those people. And now Darby is back in town.
I love a good second chance romance and this story is a great one. Darby and Pierce's life is so intertwined and even though their past is a complicated one, it is one that they are both willing to get back, if they can. This story is an emotional read, but it's also filled with sweet moments that will have you swooning.

Ahren spent her formative years
living in an active volcano. There her family made collectible lava art. She
studied rock collecting at the Sorbonne in France. There she met the love of
her life-her pet pig Sybil. She returned to the states and started writing. She
is happily married to a guy who used to live under a bridge and she met while
pole-dancing.
Now, meet the real me. I grew up in the south and consider myself a true “Southerner”. Most of the special locations mentioned in my books are reflections of my favorite places. Living on the Florida coast, my family spends a lot time at the beach which is where I usually can be found with a book in my hand.
