REVIEW BLITZ & 4 STAR REVIEW: Baby Daddy by Kendall Ryan

A hot and hilarious new standalone from New York Times bestseller Kendall Ryan.

We met in a trapped elevator.

Emmett was on his way to work, sophisticated and handsome in his tailored suit and tie.

I was on my way to the sperm bank. Awkward, right?

At thirty-five, my life hadn’t taken the path I thought it would and I was tired of waiting—I wanted a baby. And I was ready to take matters into my own hands to make it happen.
After our ill-fated elevator encounter, Emmett insisted on taking me to dinner—he also insisted on something else—that I ditch my plan involving a turkey baster and let him do the job. He would be my baby daddy. He was a wealthy and powerful CEO with little interest in diapers or playdates. And since he didn’t want kids, I’d be on my own once his bun was in my oven, free to go my own way.

But once his baby was inside me, it was like a switch had been flipped, and I got a whole lot more than I ever bargained for.

This full-length standalone contains a hot, swoonworthy hero, lots of playful banter and some hot baby-making ! Enjoy.

My Review

I received an advanced copy of this book with the promise of an honest review.

Jenna wants to have a baby, but she hasn’t met the right so she’s taking matter I to her own hands. Unfortunately for her, fate has its own plans and she gets stuck in an elevator while on the way to her doctor's appointment. But she doesn’t get stuck alone. A very handsome man named Emmett gets stuck with her. The two of them start to talk and Jenna tells him of her plans to become a mother. He thinks what she is doing is great, but he has an idea that will benefit both od them.

Emmett is very successful. He runs his own business and doesn’t have much of a social life, never mind any romantic relationships. He has no plans to have his own family and is more than willing to do this for her. But he’s not just going to donate sperm. Oh no, my friends. He wants to do it the old fashioned way. Of course Jenna thinks he’s a bit insane, but getting to know him a little, she agrees.

I loved Jenna. In the beginning she was slightly awkward and basically fumbled her way through their first try at getting pregnant. Her past relationships lacked the intense chemistry that she had with Emmett and the fact that she was thinking about the whole situation in such a clinical way did not fly with Emmett. He was determined to show her that while they may have been having sex for a very specific reason, it didn’t have to be boring. And ooooh boy. He definitely did that.

Once Jenna and Emmett got to know each other, they actually became pretty good friends.
Emmett was the absolute sweetest and I loooooooooooooved him. Once she became pregnant he was super thoughtful and willing to be there for her no matter what. The feelings Emmett said he would never get, hit him like a truck and before they know it they reach a critical point where they have to decide what they really want.

This book is a lot of fun. I had a hard time putting it down because I could not wait to see these two go for it. The epilogue of this book left me feeling all the warm and fuzzies and it will probably make you feel the same.
