Pageflex Persona [document: PRS0000039_00005]

It was supposed to be fun.
A mutual use of each other's bodies.
To be a ruse to the world around us.
I wanted to be free from my ex, and he wanted to escape his.

One drunken night turned a joke into a life-changing moment.
He warned me not to fall for him, and I should've listened.

He intoxicated me.
He made me crave him.
He ruined me.

In the end, I'll never be the same.

REVIEW BLITZ & 4 1/2 STAR REVIEW: The Room Mate (Roommate #1) by Kendall Ryan

The last time I saw my best friend’s younger brother, he was a geek wearing braces. But when Cannon shows up to crash in my spare room, I get a swift reality check.

Now twenty-four, he’s broad shouldered and masculine, and so sinfully sexy, I want to climb him like the jungle gyms we used to enjoy. At six-foot-something with lean muscles hiding under his T-shirt, a deep sexy voice, and full lips that pull into a smirk when he studies me, he’s pure temptation.

Fresh out of a messy breakup, he doesn’t want any entanglements. But I can resist, right?

I’m holding strong until the third night of our new arrangement when we get drunk and he confesses his biggest secret of all: he’s cursed when it comes to sex. Apparently he’s a god in bed, and women instantly fall in love with him.

I’m calling bullshit. In fact, I’m going to prove him wrong, and if I rack up a few much-needed orgasms in the process, all the better.

There’s no way I’m going to fall in love with Cannon. But once we start…I realize betting against him may have been the biggest mistake of my life.

My Review

I received an advanced copy of this book with the promise of an honest review.

Eek! The best friend's younger sibling trope has been given the Kendall Ryan treatment and it is awesome. Cannon needs a place to live and Paige happens to have an extra room in her tiny apartment. It has been years since she has seen him and is not prepared for the man he has become. Gone is the geeky boy she knew and what is standing in front of her is a grown, sexy man.

Cannon has a terrible track record with woman. Once they sleep with him they fall in love with him and turn into one of those level 5 clingers. It is because of the last woman he slept with that he even needs a new place to live. When he tells Paige this, she thinks he is crazy and sets out to prove him wrong. How? By sleeping with him, of course. Throw in Cannon's sister who disapproves of anyone that he gets involved with and you have a secret relationship that was absolutely delicious.

Gah! This book is so good! Cannon and Paige's relationship wasn't forbidden, but it definitely had that vibe to it. Cannon always had a crush on Paige so for him, he gets to live out his ultimate fantasy. For Paige, she is determined to prove him wrong, but the more she is around Cannon, the more she realizes that he may just be the man for her. And let's be honest, the guy has GAME.
“That’s right,” he said, encouraging me. “You like watching me touch you, princess?”
I did, but I couldn’t string together the words to tell him, couldn’t form a coherent thought right now if my life depended on it. His skilled hands knew all the spots, and just the right pressure and speed to deliver maximum pleasure.
Leaning back into his solid form, I succumbed and let the pleasure wash over me, pushing my hips forward to grant him even greater access. He rewarded me by sliding one thick finger inside me. Another needy cry escaped me. I wasn’t the type to climax quickly—the few lovers I’d been with in the past had had to work at it—but somehow, after just a few short minutes, Cannon had me poised right on the edge. That dangerous place where I’d splinter into a million fragments and burst apart.
Surrounded by his warm muscle and rich, masculine scent, I lost all sense of modesty, moaning out loud as he slid his finger in and out, watching him watch me. It was incredibly erotic.
“You’re beautiful. It’s a privilege to touch you.”
I could have melted at his darkly seductive tone. It was clear he meant it; his breathing was ragged and his erection pressed as hard as steel into my lower back.
With one hand between my legs, he caressed my breasts with the other. His mouth burned against my neck. “Are you going to come for me, gorgeous girl?” he whispered against my skin.
I shuddered in his arms, coming apart at the seams as my release tore through me. White light burst beyond my vision, blood thundering in my ears as my body clenched almost violently around his fingers. Blinded by pleasure, nothing else existed for me but his soft touches, gentle kisses, and dirty whispers.
Coming down from my high, I sagged against him, grateful when his strong arms wrapped around me.
Cannon spun me around to face him and lifted me up, holding me tightly against his chest while he walked us toward the bed, where he stripped me of my pants and underwear.
“I’ve got you,” he said, placing me in the center of the pillow-top mattress.
Boneless and relaxed, I smiled at him shyly, watching as he pushed his pants and boxers down, freeing that thick, gorgeous cock I’d dreamed about since the night I’d run into him naked in the hallway. I almost groaned at the beautiful sight. He was exquisite. I wanted to touch him, to taste him, to hear him moan with pleasure.
His hand found his cock and he stroked slowly once, twice, my core tightening all over again as I watched him. “You ready for more?”
I nodded. “Come here.”
I devoured this book. Once I picked it up I couldn't put it down. I was pretty much sold on Cannon and Paige getting together right from the start and they did not disappoint. There are plenty of sexy sexy times between them, but there are also quite a few sweet moments that showed there was more to their relationship than just the sex. This is a definitely must read.

BLOG TOUR & REVIEW: Gravity by Lauren Runow

Please join us in celebrating the release of GRAVITY by Lauren Runow!

Title: GRAVITY by Lauren Runow

Age Group: Adult

Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: January 24, 2017

Gravity is not your normal, sweet romance of childhood friends to lovers. Spanning over twenty years—it’s raw, it’s real, asking the question if soul mates really exist.

Lily
At eight years old, the boy next door changed my life. He was the force pulling me toward him despite our differences. It was like magic.

We understood each other, supported each other and in the process became everything to each other.

But in chasing Trevin’s dream, I lost myself along the way.

Trevin
Through tremendous heartache, she was there. Through fame and fortune, she was there. Loving Lily was the one thing I got right.

Eclipsing her in my shadow, I took from her until she was empty. Now I must do anything to prove I can be the man she wants, no, the man she deserves.

My Review

I received an advanced copy of this book with the promise of an honest review.

We meet Lily and Trevin when they are just 8 years old and Lily has moved in next door. He teaches Lily how to ride a bike and the two of them become instant friends. They stay friends throughout their childhood and even high school. As Trevin gets older his home life becomes intolerable and then the unthinkable happens, tearing Trevin's life apart. He goes the way of the delinquent high school student while Lily stays her sweet and innocent self. But through it all, the two of them stay friends.

Growing up Lily tried to play guitar, but was really bad at it. After he asks, she teaches Trevin what little she has learned and it turns out he is quiet good at it. He continues to pla  On his 18th birthday she gives him a present that will change both of their lives, for the good and the bad. For the first time since they met, they find themselves in separate places, geologically and emotionally. Over the next 8 or so years, Lily and Trevin's relationships goes through lots of up and downs, but through it all their feelings for each other only grow stronger.

One adorable thing I loved about their relationship was the friendship bracelet Lily gave Trevin. He put it on and never took it off...kind of. If it would break, he would have Lily make him a new one. She even produced a stock pile so he would always have one lying around. On Trevin's 24th birthday, the two of them get tattoos.
We enter the tattoo parlor, and the person standing behind the counter instantly recognizes Trevin. Turns out, he was a huge fan of Stone Cold and has been following Escape Velocity ever since they started.
“Dude, anything you want. This tattoo’s on the house,” the guy says after he has Trevin sign his autograph.
Trevin looks at me, winking, before looking back to the guy. “Well, this is my girl, Lily Pad.” He smirks when I hit his arm. “It’s my birthday, and you see here”—he holds up his wrist to show him the bracelet he continues to wear—“she made this for me when we were nine years old and has had to make me a new one every time it breaks. So I was thinking, maybe I’ll just have it tattooed on me so it’s there forever.”
I wrap my arms around him, leaning up to kiss his cheek. “And I’ll get the same,” I say.
He turns and our lips meet in a sweet kiss before he looks back at the guy. “You think you can do that?”
“Hell yeah, we can,” he responds.
“Then…” He shows him his wrist. “Where the string hangs down here, I want it to say ‘Lily.’”
My eyes go wide when he says he wants it to say my name.
He starts laughing at my surprise. “Yes, just Lily, no nicknames for something that means this much.”
“And I want mine to say Trevin,” I say, intertwining his hand with mine.
“You got it.” The tattoo artist leads us back to a room where he proceeds to draw the bracelet around my wrist, giving it a thin braided look and Trevin written on the inside of my wrist.
Trevin holds my hand and kisses my lips as the guy starts on the inside of my wrist since that will be the most painful spot. It can only get better from there. I’d like to say it hurt like hell, but having Trevin’s lips pressed against mine made the pain disappear and washed the fear away.
Before I know it, the tattoo is finished and it’s Trevin’s turn. He’s gotten so many tattoos he’s used to the pain and tries to show off a little for me as well. I decide to mess with him, straddling his waist, wrapping my arms around his neck, kissing him with everything I’ve got and grinding into his crotch ever so slightly.
The tattoo artist had to stop a few times when we got carried away and Trevin couldn’t keep his arm still, which made it all that much more fun.
“Happy birthday, baby.” I place my forehead against his and move to sweep my lips against his softly.
“I love you, Lily,” he whispers so only I can hear, keeping this moment ours alone.
Gravity is an emotional read. It takes place over 27 years and two of them, especially Trevin, go through a lot. They don't always handle things in the best way and there were moments when I thought that they were never going to be able to come back from whatever happened. Lily and Trevin are connected in a way that most people can only dream about and their words and actions cut deeper than it would in most relationships. Forgiveness is a big part of what keeps bringing them back to one another. But also, as they both say multiple times in the book, Lily and Trevin are each other's gravity. They feel grounded when they are together. Things only make sense when the other person is around.

This book is a must read for Lauren Runow fans and anyone who loves the whole "neighbors/friends from childhood/friendship turns into love/rockstar" trope. That's a thing, right?  ;-)

RELEASE BLITZ: Fifteen Nights by Zoe Lee

Fifteen Nights by Zoe Lee
Publication Date: January 26th, 2017
Genre: Contemporary Romance

An all new STANDALONE novel from Zoe Lee is now LIVE!!

The deeper they look, the harder they fall.

Jamie Houston was supposed to just be Leda Riveau’s Thursday night (and maybe Friday morning) fun.

Leda has awesome brothers, friends who are as allergic to emotions as she is, and a great job. She’s back in her hometown, Maybelle County, after a romantic and professional disaster three years ago in Nashville. It might not be what she planned when she was a teenager, but it’s perfect.

Or, well, it’s almost perfect. Because Leda is still angry and bitter about Nashville, and everyone knows it. She hates romance and doesn’t do relationships, and her younger brother’s trying to get her to be nicer. But she’s not nice. She even has her own hashtag: #ledagoesnuclear.

Then she sees Jamie again, when he’s between serious girlfriends, and discovers that the chemistry she’s always suspected is right there, ready to explode if she lets it.

Jamie is a serial monogamist who’s always liked Leda, but the timing’s never been right. After he sees her while they’re both single for the first time since high school, he knows he wants to be with her. Everybody knows she doesn’t date and doesn’t get serious, but he’s always serious, especially because he has a three-year-old son and a three-hour commute to get from work to Leda.

What starts out as a casual Thursday night arrangement gets messy when Leda and Jamie also have interfering friends, sad brothers, a pushy mom, an amazing son, and chemistry so intense it’s scary.

How does a man who needs forever win a woman who hates romance?
