My Review

I received an advanced copy of this book with the promise of an honest review.

I love when an author gives us the Alpha male who turns out to be a giant teddy bear. And Harlan is basically the textbook definition of that. Harlan and Harmony have met numerous times, but they’ve had little interaction. But he always sees her, knows when she’s around. And when Harmony moves back home, he sees his chance to get to know her better.

Harmony likes Harlan, but she has always played it safe when it comes to the men in her life. After running into Harlan outside of work, the two start spending time together. He is there to help her get her new house in order. They hang out. Eat dinner together. And that’s it. Harlan is no dummy. He knows Harmony likes him, but is hesitant to get involved with him romantically. So he becomes her friend, all the while knowing that there’s no way she'll actually put him in the "friend zone". Smart man!

I just loved Harlan. He was so sweet and only wanted the best for Harmony. So at times that meant his Alphaness came out and that just made me love him even more. I think I loved them best when it was just the two of them spending time together. Adorable doesn't even begin to describe how cute they were and their chemistry was ridiculous. They made a fantastic couple and almost everyone in their lives thinks so too. Well, almost everyone. 

One of things I like best about the Mayson universe is that no matter what book you read, chances are you’re going to get more than just the main characters and their immediate family. If something goes wrong, the family will be there. Whether it’s to help you move or to send an unwanted suitor a message, the Mayson family has your back. I love being able to see how couples from the previous books are doing.

Aurora Rose Reynolds is a navy brat who's husband served in the United States Navy. She has lived all over the country but now resides in New York City with her Husband and pet fish. She's married to an alpha male that loves her as much as the men in her books love their women. He gives her over the top inspiration everyday. In her free time she reads, writes and enjoys going to the movies with her husband and cookie. She also enjoys taking mini weekend vacations to nowhere, or spends time at home with friends and family. Last but not least she appreciates everyday and admires it's beauty.
