A FOOL FOR YOU
 by Katee Robert

Title: A Fool For You
Author: Katee Robert
Series: Foolproof Love #3
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: October 3, 2016
Publisher: Entangled Brazen

He never thought he’d get a second chance.  A Fool For You is the third and final novel in the Foolproof Love series from New York Times and USA Today bestselling author, Katee Robert and Entangled Publishing.

It’s been thirteen years since Hope Moore left Devil’s Falls, land of sexy cowboys and bad memories. Back for the weekend, she has no intention of seeing the man she never got over…or the two of them getting down and dirty. It’s just a belated goodbye, right? No harm, no foul.

Until six weeks later, when her pregnancy test comes back positive…

Daniel Rodriguez hasn’t forgiven himself for how things went down with Hope all those years ago. He knows she’s better off without him, but when she shows up on his doorstep, panicking because she’s pregnant with his baby, he can’t help seeing it as a chance to make up for the past.

Too bad Hope has no intention of going along with his plans.

My Review

I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Whew. This book was all business. The last two books had a lightheartedness to it that this one definitely did not have. Hope and Daniel have a past and not all of it is happy. We had been hearing about the car accident that killed Hope's brother and how Daniel felt that he was responsible. In this book, everything comes to head after 13 long years.

Hope comes back to Devil's Falls to set up a scholarship in her brother's name. She knows that there is a chance she will run into Daniel, but what she doesn't expect is to end up at his birthday dinner party. Daniel is less than pleased to see her, but when the two of them try to talk their way through it, they end up having sex. Hope leaves town a few days later without a word to Daniel, but six weeks later she is back and turns out she is carrying his child.

I love a good second chance romance story, but the thing that frustrated me with this book was how Hope and Daniel kept dancing around the subject of the accident. It was such a large part of their life and the reason that they weren't together. Guilt is a terrible emotion. It can destroy relationships without a second thought and that is exactly what happened with Hope and Daniel. These two wouldn't be able to truly move on until they dealt with the past. And it didn't help that Hope's parents were quite unhappy with the recent developments and even Daniel's close friends made sure that he knew that they wouldn't stand for him to hurt Hope's feelings again.

But in the present they have to deal with things as well. Hope sees Daniel being involved in their child's life, but she has every intention to return to Houston, while Daniel saw Hope never leaving his house. Two VERY different scenarios. But watching these two hash things out (mostly by having sex) was very entertaining.

This book was a satisfying end to the series. It finally told the story that I had been to read since the first book. I am a sucker for a second chance romance and this was a great one.

EXCERPT

Hope shook her head. “You’re as much an idiot now as you were then.”

And then she kissed him.

It caught him a little off guard—he hadn’t expected her to be the one to make the first move, especially after the way the scene in the bathroom had gone down—but Daniel wasted no time taking control. He kissed down her neck, sliding his hands beneath her shirt and skating them up to her body to cup her breasts. They filled his palms, familiar and yet not, all at the same time. He cursed. “Gorgeous Darling, the things you do to me.” He nipped her collarbone. “I’m going to taste you, so if you’re going to change your mind, now’s the time to do it.”

Her only response was to shove her yoga pants down to her knees.

He lifted her onto the counter and disentangled her right leg from the pants so he could spread her fully. He stroked her thighs, pausing when his fingers met the scar. It brought up so many conflicting feelings in him. It was his fault that she had the damn thing, but that didn’t mean he thought of her as less, the way she seemed to think. She was as beautiful now as she’d been at eighteen, and more confident despite her injury. Or maybe because of it. He had no idea.

All he knew was that at some point he was going to have to get up close and personal with her healed injury, and he was going to have to tread very, very carefully to avoid burning what was left of the bridge between him and Hope.

“If you apologize, I might actually kick you.”

That snapped him out of it. As much as he wanted Hope, he had an ulterior motive for pushing her now. All getting distracted by her leg was going to do was fuck up his chance of convincing her to stay, in his house and in his bed. He jerked her to the edge of the counter, spreading her thighs wider. “Don’t scream. You’ll upset Ollie.”

And then he did what he’d been fantasizing about ever since he walked out of her life. Daniel dipped his head and gave her center one long lick. She tasted better than he remembered, her body already shaking for him, so he used his thumbs to part her folds and licked her again, reacquainting himself with every inch of her.

“Oh.”

He looked up her body to find her head thrown back and her chest rising and falling with each harsh breath. “Take off your shirt.”

Hope wasted no time obeying, dragging the material over her head and tossing it away. And then there was nothing hiding her body from his gaze. He licked her again, savoring the way she shook. A tattoo curling around the bottom of her ribs caught his eye, but he was too distracted to read it.

He was tired of teasing her. He wanted to feel her orgasm again, to know she was coming apart at the seams because of him. Daniel sucked her clit into his mouth, stroking the sensitive little nub with the flat of his tongue the way she’d always loved. Sure enough, before he had a chance to truly savor her, Hope cried out his name and shuddered, her thighs squeezing his head as she came. He gentled his touches, licks turning to kisses, turning to the slightest brushing of his lips against her. Only when she stopped shaking did he raise his head. “Stay, at least until we figure out what we’re doing.”

They say opposites attract, but this is just ridiculous.

He and Aubry can barely hold down a civil conversation, but in bed…fireworks. And the closer they get to Quinn’s sister’s wedding, the more he realizes that he might actually like Aubry.

Now it’s up to him to convince her she might actually like him, too.

My Review

I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

You know those people that can't stand to be around each other and like to give the other person a hard time? Well, I just described Aubry and Quinn. I wouldn't necessarily call them enemies, but they definitely do not like each other. But that all changes when Aubry need an escort to a gaming event and Quinn needs a date to his sister's wedding.

They embark on an epic road trip that doesn't get off to the best start, but it is when things get REALLY interesting. After getting into some car trouble they have to stay the night at a bed and breakfast. At this point the hatred they have for each other has turned into some ridiculous sexual tension and

I LOVED Quinn. Despite being her exact opposite, he was so good with Aubry. Once they settled into their road trip dynamic, he surprised me numerous times, especially when it came to understanding Aubry. He was able to calm her when she has panic attacks and they would have these chats where I would find myself thinking, "Wow, he really does understand her. Go figure."
She was a study in contradictions. He’d never met a crazier woman when it came to some of her neuroses, but she was obviously passionate both in bed and when it came to that damn game of hers. Everything about her was extreme—either she hated or she loved, but she never toed the line. Except, apparently, when it came to her job. He smiled at the waitress when she delivered water to their table and took their order, and then turned his attention back to Aubry. “So what would you do if you were going to follow your great passion?”
She shrugged. “I don’t know.”
“Peaches, you’ve delivered insults harsh enough to strip flesh from bone, but you’ve never lied to me—until now.” He leaned forward, propping his elbows on the table. “Tell me. I promise not to laugh at you.”
“No, you don’t.” She took a sip of her water. “And, anyways, that’s not what I’m afraid of—not that I’m afraid of anything about this conversation, exactly. It’s just that some things aren’t talked about.”
He blinked. “I don’t know where you get some of your ideas.”
“Oh, God, fine.” She hunched down in her seat. “I want to design video games.”
“Cool.”
Aubry fiddled with her silverware. “In theory, sure. But the reality isn’t cool at all. Even if I had the balls to submit my game to a company for consideration, the chances of it getting picked up are less than one percent, and if I went the indie route, there’s a whole host of other hurdles I’d have to get over. That’s not even bringing up what it’s like being a woman in the gaming industry—”
“Aubry.”
She sat back and finally looked at him. “What?”
He mentally revisited everything she’d just said. He wasn’t sure she’d taken a breath the entire time. “You have a game done?”
“It’s not done-done. It’s playable and there are a few levels put together, but that’s it.”
“That’s amazing.” He didn’t have a creative bone in his body, and while he could enjoy a video game here and there, he’d never really put much thought into what it took to actually create one. “You have to send it in.”
He became so supportive of her in the short time that they actually spent together. And Aubry was unlike anyone he had ever met. Quinn grew up with the rich and snooty, but left because he didn't want that life. And I say thank god to to that because I much prefer a sexy cowboy to anyone in his family.

This book is a perfect addition to this series. This story is sexy, funny and there were some extremely HOT moments that made me want a cold shower. Aubry and Quinn couldn't be more different, but they are exactly what the other one needs.

5 STAR REVIEW & GIVEAWAY: Foolproof Love (Foolproof Love #1) by Katee Robert

FOOLPROOF LOVE

by Katee Robert

Adam Meyer survived bucking broncos and the rough and tumble rodeo life, but can he survive coming home and falling in love with Jules Rodriguez? Foolproof Love is the first novel in the brand new series, Foolproof Love from New York Times and USA Today bestselling author, Katee Robert and Entangled Publishing.

Title: Foolproof Love

Author: Katee Robert

Series: Foolproof Love #1

Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: June 6, 2016
Publisher: Entangled Brazen
Print Length: 50,000 words
Format: Paperback and Digital

Bull rider Adam Meyer put Devil’s Falls in his rearview mirror years ago and hasn’t stopped running since. Now he’s back—temporarily, if he has any say about it. Restless, he finds himself kissing the sexiest girl in town…and agreeing to be the fake boyfriend in her little revenge scheme.

Jules Rodrigez isn’t interested in the role of town spinster. Being seen with a hell raiser like Adam is the perfect way to scandalize the residents, make her ex jealous, and prove she’s a sexy, desirable woman. And if their plan includes ridiculously hot sex—in public, of course—all the better.

But this thing between them has an expiration date. Putting down roots isn’t in Adam’s blood, and Jules’s roots in Devil’s Falls are bedrock deep. He’ll leave, even if it rips out his heart. But this time, he’s not sure he’ll survive it…

My Review

I received an advance copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Lord help me if I ever meet a cowboy who calls me "sugar." First Travis in Sidney Halston's book Stacked Up, and now Katee Robert has given us Adam. God bless you lovely authors.

Adam and Jules are thrown together when she needs an emergency boyfriend. Her ex is back in town and she needs to show him that she is doing great. Adam is more than happy to play along, but when the ex has a hard time believing they are together, they up their game. They find themselves in a fake relationship that is looking more and more like the real thing.

I absolutely loved Jules...she was fantastic. She is a Devil's Falls lifer and wouldn't want to be anywhere else. She has recently opened a cat cafe (!!!!) and business is great. Her roommate is her best friend Aubrey and all is well in the world. Adam is kind of the opposite. After losing a close friend in an accident, he left town, became a rodeo star and left Devil's Falls in his rear view mirror. But when he finds out his mother is sick, he comes home to help take care of her.

Neither of them expected to end up in a relationship, fake or real. But their plan to fool everyone quickly takes a turn and they are both strangely okay with it. The only problem is that Adam has no plans to stick around Devil's Falls. As their relationship gets more serious, he gets more and more restless and has to make a decision. Either stay in Devil's Falls and risk getting bored or go back to his old life. Meanwhile Jules is going nowhere and she has to decide whether or not to fight for the last man she expected to have feelings for.

I had my fingers crossed for these two because they were adorable together. Jules' ex had told her that she was boring so the goal was to change that sentiment. From that very first kiss (one that took both of them by surprise) I knew that things would be on the exciting side. Between Jules asking Adam to teach her how to talk dirty and the two of them having smoking hot sex in his truck on the side of the road these two were the definitely of not boring!  Haha.

I cannot wait for the rest of this series. The next book is going to be great...I can already tell. I love a good enemies to lovers story and I think that Aubrey and Quinn are are going to be awesome together.

EXCERPT

“That’s really sweet, Grant. It was great seeing you, but my boyfriend is waiting for me.”

He frowned. “Boyfriend?”

“Oh, yeah, it’s a new thing. We haven’t exactly gone public with it—you know how Devil’s Falls can be—so you wouldn’t have heard.” She gave him a pat on his arm. “It was nice seeing you. So great. Really, we’ll have to catch up sometime soon.” And then she stepped around him, dragging Aubry behind her.

“What are you doing?” Aubry whispered.

“Winging it.” She stopped by the trio of men, all too aware of Grant watching her. “Hi, Daniel. Quinn. Adam.” They raised their beers.

Daniel looked over her shoulder with a frown. “Is that your piece-of-shit ex-boyfriend I see?”

“The very one.” She disentangled her arm from Aubry’s. “Speaking of, I need a favor.”

“Anything for you, kid.”

She tried not to roll her eyes at him calling her kid. He was a whole seven years older than her. Not exactly ancient. “Actually, it’s not you I need the favor from.” Before she could talk herself out of it, she sidled up to Adam and put her arms around his neck. To his credit, he didn’t shove her on her butt in the dirt, merely raising his eyebrows. Jules kept her voice low so there was no chance of Grant overhearing. “So as you’ve noticed, my ex is watching me really closely right now, and I might have told him a tiny white lie about me dating someone in order to avoid a devastating dose of humiliation. And since I can’t date Daniel and no one would ever believe I’d date Quinn—”

The man in question frowned. “You really know how to hit a man where it hurts, Jules.”

“—that leaves you.”

Adam’s face remained impassive. “I see.”

There wasn’t a whole lot to work with in those words, but he also had let his free hand drift down to settle on her hip, so she just kept talking. “If you could just play along and maybe kiss me like you want to do filthy things to me in the bed of your truck, I’d really appreciate it.”

If anything, his eyebrows rose higher. “That guy really got under your skin, didn’t he?”

“You have no idea.” Next to them, Daniel made a sound suspiciously like a growl, but neither of them looked over. Adam’s hand pulsed on her hip, the heat of it shocking despite the warmth of the night. His calluses dragged over the sensitive skin bared by her T-shirt, and she shivered. Maybe this was a terrible idea. She didn’t have time to really reconsider, though, because he set down his beer, cupped the back of her neck, and dealt her the single most devastating kiss of her life.

No, not a kiss.

He took possession of her mouth, his tongue tracing the seam of her lips and then delving inside. He tasted of beer and something darker, something that hinted at exactly what she’d asked for—like he wanted to do filthy things to her in the bed of his truck. She closed her eyes, giving his tongue a tentative stroke, and had to fight down a moan at the way the move made her entire body go tight. More.

He lifted his head, breaking the kiss and slamming her back into the real world. She blinked up at him, all too aware of her body pressed against the entirety of his, of how he was hard in all the places she was soft, of how goddamn good he smelled. “Wow.”

There went that eyebrow again. “You think it was believable?”

The Foolproof Love series continues…
Fool Me Once August 1, 2016

Aubry Kaiser doesn’t like people—actually, that’s not right. She loathes people. Combine that with her crippling anxiety around crowds and she’s in a mess when she gets an exclusive invitation to play a demo of her favorite video game, Deathmatch…which will be held at a convention with five thousand other people. The only solution? Bring someone else with her to the con to act as a shield—and unfortunately the only person available is the one man she can’t stand. Quinn.

Quinn Baldwyn is in a mess of his own. He’s been dodging his family’s matchmaking attempts for years, but with his sister’s wedding on the horizon, he’s in need of a shield of his own. Who better to drive off any potential marriage-seeking women than the fire-breathing dragon known as Aubry?

Things start to go sideways almost immediately when Quinn’s truck breaks down, forcing them to spend a seriously hot night in a B&B. They might barely be able to hold down a civil conversation, but in bed those fireworks are only the good kind. The closer they get to Napa Valley and Quinn’s sister’s wedding, the more he realizes that he might actually…like Aubry. But can two polar opposite people from completely different worlds ever really connect outside of mind-blowing orgasms?
