I knocked up my best friend's sister.
Figured I would get straight to the point because how it happened is a mere snippet of the story I have to tell. The real meat and potatoes is what happened after.
Let's start with how she decided to inform me and Pacey the news . . . together. Imagine that nightmare. I was going into what I thought was a hockey marketing meeting and then BAM! I'm going to be a dad and my best friend/teammate is attempting to imprint my face with his fist.
It wasn't pretty.
Threats were tossed around, friendships were revoked, and then I was marched up to her apartment, suitcases in hand, and forced to live with her so I could take care of her every need. Given how much I've pined for the girl, you would think that wouldn't be a hardship.
Wrong.
This is my one shot to win my teammate back. Pacey is the only family I've got, so hooking up with his sister isn't a mistake I can make twice . . . despite the fact that she's pregnant with my child.
But with every mood swing, every pair of pants that doesn't fit right, and every late night run to find the perfect donut, I'm finding it harder and harder not to fall for my best friend's little sister.
Especially when she kisses me...

My Review
I received an advanced copy of this book with the promise of an honest review.
As much I liked this book, about 75% in Penny got so obnoxious and all the wonderful feelings I had for her vanished. I just wanted to reach into my Kindle and shake some sense into her. She was just way too much at times and I needed her to calm down.
Both Eli and Penny never expected their one night stand to result in a pregnancy, but when Penny drops the news, Eli has no problem stepping up and taking responsibility. I did think it was a little weird that they moved into Penny's apartment and not his, considering his apartment was bigger and had a second bedroom, but then we wouldn't have the "only one bed" trope to help things along.
Eli Hornsby is a freaking saint and I LOVE HIM SO MUCH. He did nothing but support Penny through her pregnancy and even though he couldn't always be there thanks his hockey schedule, he did his best. He put up with some ridiculous stuff from Penny and that just showed me how much he cared for her. Even if he couldn't say it.
Like most of Meghan's books, this had some very funny parts. Early in the book when Penny and Eli are trying to navigate their new relationship there were awkward moments that had me laughing out loud. Thankfully both Penny and Eli had friends to help them through...and even make things more hilarious at times. I love the Agitators guys and I can't wait for more books!
