I received an advanced copy of this book with the promise of an honest review.
Once upon a time, Brut and Lily were in love. But thanks to Lily's bitch of a sister, things didn't work out. Now it's twenty two years later and thanks to some sneaky meddling, they find themselves staying at the same beach house. They are both taken aback by the arrangements, but vow to make things work.
This was a great second chance romance. Lily and Brut had twenty two years of stuff to work through and there were some moments when it all seemed very futile. They have ghosts of the past haunting them at every turn and although some were easier to deal with than others, they discovered dealing with them together was the best to do it. Not to mention, new situations arise that throw their current lives into a state neither of them thought was possible.
I love me a silver fox and in this story, we get three of them! Of course Hank and Midge are around. Sticking their nose, very sneakily, in Brut's business. And we even get a little bit of Tommy and the gang from the first book.
I'm such a fan of this series. And if you are too, then this is definitely a book to 1-click!
