USA Today best-selling author Marni Mann knew she was going to be a writer since middle school. While other girls her age were daydreaming about teenage pop stars, Marni was fantasizing about penning her first novel. She crafts unique stories that weave together her love of darkness, mystery, passion, and human emotions. A New Englander at heart, she now lives in Sarasota, Florida, with her husband and their yellow Lab. When she’s not nose deep in her laptop, working on her next novel, she’s scouring for chocolate, sipping wine, traveling, or devouring fabulous books.
Scandal, betrayal, and a tarnished name have me fleeing my Manhattan penthouse with a lone suitcase and a manila envelope holding the hardest decision I'll ever have to make.
With no destination in mind, I land in a quaint beach town in South Carolina. I'm about to get lunch when my Christian Louboutin heel gets stuck in the decking. I'm desperate to rescue it when my hero appears.
A very moody, very heartbroken hero named Grant Dawson.
He's sensitive, protective, and absolutely gorgeous. I have to shield myself from the sun but mostly to avoid his glare. Grant doesn't take well to women from the big city … especially ones who wear expensive shoes.
Despite Grant's unwelcoming attitude, I decide to stay in town and rent a room from an elderly woman who sets me up with a job as a waitress. Imagine my surprise when I find Grant is my new boss, and he’s annoyed to be working with me.
Not one to bow down from a challenge, I work alongside Grant even if it kills me to do so. As I get to know him, I start to like the single father with a painful past. The more I care, the easier I find I could fall in love with him.
Grant doesn't trust women in heels for a reason. When I get the courage to open the manila envelope, I might once again prove him right when I walk out the door for good.

Three cheers for a grumpy hero! Three more cheers for a grumpy hero with an adorable child who he loves more than anything! This has become one of my favorite tropes. Give me more please.
Sophie is looking to leave her life behind, even if it's just for a little while. When her family and career falls apart, she needs a change. South Carolina wasn't the plan, but when she stops for lunch, things just fall into place. And before she knows it, she has a place to stay and a job. She has a rough go of it at first and having Grumpy Grant as a boss wasn't ideal, but Sophie eventually finds her way.
Grant and Sophie were an excellent couple. I really enjoyed when they didn't get along. They had great banter and the back and forth just added to the tension between them. And when they finally give in to their attraction to each other, it's so good!
This book is sweet and quite heartwarming, with a little bit of sexy thrown in. And it was a quick read with little drama. There are a few excellent side characters who I really enjoyed as well.

Blind Side is a fake dating sports romance that early readers are calling Kandi's spiciest book yet! Add in that the heroine is a virgin and takes "lessons" from our star athlete Hero on how to please herself, and this is one hot summer release you won't want to miss! 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐬𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐭𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐬𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐟𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐠𝐢𝐫𝐥𝐟𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐝. 𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐈 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐬𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐡𝐢𝐦 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐦𝐲 𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲. Clay Johnson has the abs of Adonis and the deadly smirk of the devil, himself. There's hardly a day he's not headline material during football season, and never a day he isn't a bullseye target for every girl on campus. He used to be the easiest of all the players for me to wrangle as the Public Relations Coordinator, but after a nasty breakup with his high school sweetheart, he's a mess. And a complete pain in my ass. We meet to discuss his behavior and review media relations standards. But when he witnesses how I fall to pieces in front of my guitar-toting crush, his wheels start turning. And he cooks up this absurd plan. He helps me get noticed. I help him make his ex jealous. All by pretending to be in a relationship. What he doesn't realize is that this bookworm is a virgin, and far from versed in seducing a musician. So, to sweeten the deal, I convince him to help me -- not just to get my crush's attention, but to knock his socks off once I have it. But the more I come unraveled at the hands of Clay Johnson, the more trouble I have discerning what's fake and what's undoubtedly real -- particularly, the way my heart flutters every time that breathtaking man touches me. We set the rules. We put the safeguards in place. But they say rules are meant to be broken. They probably should have added that hearts are, too.

This book is a fake dating masterpiece! Clay just kept getting better as the book went on. He took his role as Giana's "boyfriend" very seriously and he kept surprising me with the things he did. Giana not only needed him to be her boyfriend in public, but also in private. Giana was a romance reader so he stole her books to see what she liked and then...well you know.
Also, this is the second book that I've read recently where the guy just falls head over heels for the female character. And I'm talking like angsty, hands in the hair because he's so torn as to what to do, broody attitude, major pining. Gahhhh! I love it so much. Each book has these turning points where the pay off of all the pining is just....*chef's kiss*.
Oh and there is also a little praise kink thrown in this book, which for a NA was a bit surprising, but also VERY welcome. More of this please!!!
This is definitely a must read for Kandi Steiner fans!
Kandi Steiner is an Amazon Top 5 bestselling author and whiskey connoisseur living in Tampa, FL. Best known for writing "emotional rollercoaster" stories, she loves bringing flawed characters to life and writing about real, raw romance — in all its forms. No two Kandi Steiner books are the same, and if you're a lover of angsty, emotional, and inspirational reads, she's your gal.
An alumna of the University of Central Florida, Kandi graduated with a double major in Creative Writing and Advertising/PR with a minor in Women's Studies. She started writing back in the 4th grade after reading the first Harry Potter installment. In 6th grade, she wrote and edited her own newspaper and distributed to her classmates. Eventually, the principal caught on and the newspaper was quickly halted, though Kandi tried fighting for her "freedom of press."
She took particular interest in writing romance after college, as she has always been a die hard hopeless romantic, and likes to highlight all the challenges of love as well as the triumphs.
When Kandi isn't writing, you can find her reading books of all kinds, planning her next adventure, or pole dancing (yes, you read that right). She enjoys live music, traveling, playing with her fur babies and soaking up the sweetness of life.

From USA Today and Amazon Charts bestselling author Meghan Quinn, comes a fresh take on a romantic comedy classic, When Harry Met Sally. This steamy, laugh-out-loud, enemies to lovers romance is about an annoyingly handsome coworker and the woman who refuses to be charmed by him.
Am I friends with JP Cane?
Ha! That's laughable.
Besides the fact that he’s adopted some far-fetched notion from the movie When Harry Met Sally that says men and women can't be friends and work together, it’s safe to say we're not friends. He's annoyingly loud, obnoxiously handsome, and has made an art out of poking all my hot buttons . . . multiple times a day.
So you can imagine how disgruntled I am when I not only have to fly to San Francisco with him for work, but stay in the same penthouse. Yup, we're sharing the same air, twenty-four-seven. We're talking full-fledged working roommates.
The man doesn't know what it means to wear a shirt, thrives off protein bars, and you guessed it, moans loud enough for people to believe he's Meg Ryan in a restaurant.
Spoiler Alert: I WON'T be having what he's having.
Tack on his continuous flirting and his polished good looks, and I'm caught staring down the barrel of a seductive temptation that makes it hard for me to sleep at night.
But guess who can control herself? This girl.
Because if there is one thing I know for certain, it's that JP Cane and I are so not meant to be.

For me, this book was all about Mr. Jonah Peter Crane. Do I think he needs a therapist to deal with his intense feelings? Absolutely. And do I also think that he is too good for Kelsey? Just a little. But I just love him so much! *sigh*
I love when one when character pines for the other character and it's even better when it's the guy who is doing all the pining. There were moments when JP broke me in the best way possible, but I was also worried about him emotionally. (I think he could really benefit from a therapist...just saying.)
I enjoyed this book. And I love banter between the main characters, but I think it went on just a little too long in this book. For me, once Kelsey and JP gave into their feelings, I enjoyed the book much more. But that's just me.
If you read A Not So Meet Cute you will want to read this one. Lottie and Huxley make plenty of appearances and we get to see where their relationship is at.

We were supposed to walk away after our time in Hawaii was over.
No matter what.
That was before…
Before I learned who she is. Before I realized how interconnected our lives are. Before I fell in love.
But our love isn’t the stuff fairy tales are made of. Demons lurk around every corner. Good doesn’t necessarily prevail over evil. And the knight in shining armor may not save the day. Not if her murderous ex-husband has anything to do with it.
But Julia’s never been the type of girl who needs a knight in shining armor to save the day. She’s the type of girl who will pick up her own sword and fight for what she believes in.
I just hope she’s finally learned to believe in herself.

If you are reading this, there is a really good chance that you have read the first three books in this series and are ready to read the conclusion. If not, stop reading and go back to the beginning. Trust me on this.
Whew! What a ride! I knew that some very serious things were going to happen in this book, but I was not prepared for how things actually played out. I won't give too many details, but lets just say that I found myself holding my breath a few times because things go so intense. But the way everything played out...perfect.
JULIA AND LACHLAN FOR EVER!!!!!!! Gahhh! All I wanted was for Julia to get her happily ever after and there were moments when I wasn't sure she would. But Lachlan is the ultimate book boyfriend and I just love him so much. <insert heart eye emoji>
And that epilogue! I can't wait to see what comes next. Also, I'm pretty sure T.K. is an evil genius.
CW: This book is a lot more graphic that the previous three. There is description of murder and some pretty graphic descriptions of sexual violence.
