RELEASE BLITZ & 5 STAR REVIEW: Temptation (Temptation #1) by T.K. Leigh

It was supposed to be a typical business trip to Hawaii.

During the day, I’d promote the new location of my bakery. At night, I’d relax on the lanai while sipping a glass of wine.

But that all changes when I meet him.

Sexy. Intriguing. Haunted.

And easily fifteen years younger than me.

I should walk away. The last thing I need after turning forty is a middle-age crisis in the form of an Australian Adonis.

But something keeps drawing me back to him.

So I make a proposition.

One week. No last names. No expectations.

It’s the perfect plan…

Until I learn the true identity of my vacation fling.

They say temptation can be dangerous.

I didn’t realize it could be so deadly.

My Review

I received an advanced copy of this book with the promise of an honest review.

I absolutely LOVE Julia and Lachlan! This is an older woman, younger man story and it's delicious! The two meet on the beach after Julia gets stung by a jelly fish. He gives here some tips on how to deal with the sting and they go their separate ways.

Of course their paths cross again and that leads to a no strings attached, week of sexy times. They even give each other fake first names. Julia needs to let loose and Lachlan is more than willing to help her out. It takes a little time for her to get over the idea of hooking up with someone much younger than her, but once she does....WHEW! Their chemistry was off the charts, in and out of the bedroom. The two of them just connected on a level that surprised both of them. I just love them so much!

I am so happy that TK is giving us Julia's story! We met her in the Possession Duet (reading that isn't necessary to read this series, but it is definitely worth the read) and without giving anything away, I will say is that Julia definitely deserves a happily ever after.

This book does end on a cliffhanger! So if that is not your thing, I would wait until the whole series is out. I cannot wait for the next installment!

RELEASE BLITZ & REVIEW: Just About Over You by Carrie Aarons

What’s the worst thing you could hear your best friend, who you’ve always secretly been in love with, say? That would be telling another girl he could envision her being his wife.

I just about died when Gannon Raferty, the boy who used to borrow my pencils in elementary school, said that to the lead of the reality dating show he was cast on. Though he didn’t win her heart, he’s now a bona fide sensation when he returns to our college and moves back into the off-campus house we share.

The torch I carry for him has always been one-sided; I’m head-over-heels, soulmate-level into him while he views me as a lovable kid sister. So I decide this school year will be the one where I move on, where I finally attempt to open my heart to another. After all, if he can make declarations of undying love to someone he just met, but not to me, that’s the biggest wake-up call I could ever receive.

Until one night early on in the semester, when we accidentally sleep together. Because of course he’s going to confess his feelings now, when I was ready to give up on there ever being an us.

But just as Gannon starts admitting exactly what I’ve always wanted to hear, I get devastating news. And suddenly, I don’t want to risk losing him as a best friend. I’ve already lost too many people I love, and am on the brink of adding one more to that list.

If our romance goes south, I don’t how I’ll ever come back from it. Not only the crushing heartbreak, but the fact that we can never go back to how we were again.

My Review

I received an advanced copy of this book with the promise of an honest review.

We met Gannon and Amelie in Then You Saw Me and I was very intrigued by their story. They have been friends since they were kids and as far as Amelie is concerned, their relationship is one of unrequited love, but they always remained best friends. When Gannon, who has always wanted fame and success (we find out in this book that it is for really good reasons) ends up on a dating reality show, Amelie's heart gets broken. But now Gannon is back and things are about to get interesting.

I really enjoyed this book! I honestly wasn't sure how Gannon and Amelie's relationship was going to play out. And with them being in college, there was a real possibility that there would be lots of drama, but that's not exactly how things played out.

Going in, I wasn't sure if I would like Gannon. In the previous book, he's not painted in the best light, but of course he turns out to be a wonderful guy. He truly cares about Amelie and when things got tough, he stepped up and was the person she needed. A big change from the person I thought we were going to get.

If you like the friends to lovers trope, this is definitely worth a read!

RELEASE BLITZ & REVIEW: Put Me in Detention by Meghan Quinn

"You got married on your divorce-cation?"

That would unfortunately be correct.

I was hanging with the girls, celebrating my divorce when I saw him, my crush, sitting in the corner of the bar all alone. Being single and looking for a wild night, I asked him if he wanted to join me. To my delight, he said yes.

Drinks were consumed, fun was had and then . . . one drunken conversation with a cranky gondolier in Las Vegas led to an Uber lift through a drive-thru wedding chapel with the incredibly hot, British bad boy, Pike Greyson.

On paper, it seemed like I hit the jackpot. And if I wasn't fresh from a toxic marriage, I would have absolutely noticed the finer things about him.

But I wanted nothing to do with being married, so when I arrived back home from my eventful weekend in Vegas, the last thing I expected to see was a new doting husband already moved in.

I asked for an annulment, he pulled a Ross Geller and said no.

That's right, he said NO! Instead, he asked for three months to prove we could be good together.

Insanity clearly knocked him in the head and the only way I could convince him to give up on our sham of a marriage was to show him just how wrong we were for each other. Only problem with that was, he saw right through my every prank, every trick, and every yearning emotion I attempted to mask.

My Review

I received an advanced copy of this book with the promise of an honest review.

I've always liked Cora and I'm glad that Meghan decided to write her story. I always thought that there was more to her than what we were getting. In previous books her past was mostly alluded to, but it's in this book, that we finally get to know her better.

And it took me a second to remember who Pike was. It wasn't until Cora mentioned seeing him at the teachers' picnic at Arlo's house and I was like "Oh yes....that guy!" (I read a lot of books and my memory isn't great.) By the end of this book I absolutely LOVED him. But I kept waiting for the other shoe to fall. Pike was holding on to a pretty big secret and I couldn't help but wonder if he just came clean to Cora, she probably would have understood.

I loved Cora and Pike as a couple. In the beginning Cora was trying everything to discourage Pike and force him to divorce her, but he was a trooper and stuck it out. It was clear that the two were compatible and once they realized that, the book took on a playful, but sexy tone. It was great!

Overall I really enjoyed this book, but I must admit that I am not a big fan of Keiko and she is in a lot of this book. I found myself skimming over the parts she was in, which is a bit unfortunate. And Arlo still gets on my nerves...I just don't like him.
